You don't need a nice man to fix it, LL - washing machines are usually really easy to repair and the parts can be ordered online. The capacitor went on mine (loud bang, smoke, terrible pong of burning plastic). The postage cost more than the part, delivery in 24 hours, repair took 10 minutes; working washing machine for less than a tenner:) Always best not to use a lump hammer though:D
