  1. Good morning RMW, I don't blame you , we will keep all correspondance from Creditors and DCA's alike too- just in case!! We don't trust any of them. Regards, Mrs Z
  2. Mr Z and I are fine babybear, thank you for asking
  3. HalifaxPickle, I have read through your thread and I am in total disbelief at the way you have been treated by the Halifax. They ought to be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. I truly hope you manage to get it sorted out soon, big hugs Take care, Mrs Z
  4. Hi Red, No Creditor/DCA nasties (letters) yesterday or today, fingers crossed I'm not jinxing us!! Still had some goodies all the same! We aren't quite so worried about getting DCA letters (only full of hot air anyway) these days, not since finding CAG! Many of the forum users are very helpful and many are so amusing with it, I often smile and even laugh til I ache with some of the comments. There are so many sad threads on here that it puts things into perspective for me. I realise that at least we have our health and at the end of the day, they can't shoot us for it can they! Hi harrythe hawk, yes will definitley stand our ground with B, O & S regarding the CCA fee. If they think we will be ringing them, they'll be much mistaken. Our mantra is "everything in writing" and that is well etched on our brains!! Hi babybear, hope you are well! Regards Mrs Z
  5. Thank you Red for your really kind message Yes, if B, O & S want to use the £1 postal order sent for the CCA request and offset it against the balance, that's their prerogative!! It clearly states in the letter what it is for!! The clock will still be ticking for them. I have no doubt whatsoever that they will still send many intimidating letters (all the more ammo for us then!!). I love the comment concerning giving Mr Z a reasonably long lasting gobstopper sweetie - he he, can't wait to tell him that one when he gets home tonight!!!! Actually, thinking about it, I do believe that it was I which made the comment about it all having gone quiet the last time! Whoops! Perhaps I should be made to eat the gobstopper!! Thanks for keeping everything crossed (hope it's not too uncomfortable for you!!). Regards, Mrs Z
  6. Good for you reallymadwoman! TBH, I can't really comment too much on B, O & S yet, as we have only had the one letter. The way some of the other DCA's have treated us makes us automatically suspicious of any of them!! Mr Z commented this morning how it has all gone quiet on the letter front, I reminded him last time that was said, we recieved a CCJ the next day!! Regards, Mrs Z

  8. Thanks for your message babydoll0141917. With us, I presume time will tell as to whether or not they can come up with an enforcable agreement! Fingers crossed they don't, good luck to you that they don't with you either! Thanks for your message reallymadwoman. I have started to read through your thread, you've really been through the mill haven't you. We were lucky really because we found the CAG before Creditors/DCA's could do too much damage to us. Forewarned is definitley forearmed when dealing with their underhand and devious (to say the least) methods of collection! The CCA to "Bizarre, Ostentatious and Surreal" (my new name for the toe rags) went off recorded on Saturday. They can ignore all they like but the clock will be ticking for them!! Thanks for your message daviddd. We were making token payments, but will stop now until they come up with the goods! As far as we're concerned, when we get treated with a little respect and dignity, we will afford them the same privilege! Thanks for your message babybear, from reading the forums, we discovered who B, O & S were! Thanks for your message Duffers Mum. Hope you get your "battle" with BOS/Sainsbury sorted soon, good luck! Regards Mrs Z
  9. Thanks harrythehawk It certainly helps to know what we will be up against with this latest shower! Thanks again, Mrs Z
  10. Thank you reduk054, Mr Z keeps all dealings with Creditors/DCA cretins in writing (none of them have access to our telephone number, so no worries there ) We are slowly learning, now, as each creditor hands us over to a DCA, a CCA request will be sent!!
  11. reallymadwoman, thanks for your reply No doubt they will become our new best friends too (not!). Yes, after doing a bit of reading concerning these muppets, I can see we will have our work cut out for us!! A CCA is being posted by recorded delivery today, so we will wait for the "show" to begin Thanks for wishing us good luck marjie06 Thanks for your message Duffers Mum I can't begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to dealing with B, O & S cretins, let the battle commence With two oustanding CCA requests already on the go, I say bring it on!! We have had a gut ful of being treated like 2nd class citizens, now, thanks to the CAG, us "little people" can fight back with confidence Mrs Z
  12. Mrs Z here, I thought it best to start a new thread so that it doesn't get too confusing and in case we are in need of help or advice later on!! I thought Mr Z would recieve "fresh" harrassment! He recieved a Default Notice (doesn't look compliant) dated 17th June re: Halifax Credit Card. So getting a letter from Blair, Oliver & Scott should be no surprise. Guess who will be getting a CCA then! I shall go and have a read of some threads concerning this fresh bunch of cretins!
  13. Hello, Mrs Z here, Well, post has just been delivered, Mr Z has recieved an acknowledgement of his Defence from Northampton Court with what I presume is normal procedures. Nothing from Incasso re: CPR request. So, guess it will be a waiting game for now!!
  14. Hello notsoevil, Thank you for posting, it’s nice too hear that there are some decent DCA workers around. If you are on a low income offer token payments - whatever you can afford even if it is £1 a month (though your income and exp will have to prove this). It shows willing! This is exactly what we did, as soon as we had financial problems we did not bury our heads in the sand and ignore them hoping they would go away. We wrote to all concerned and have kept in regular contact – albeit in writing, unfortunately, we have been treated with nothing but contempt with the dealings by both Original Creditors and DCA’s alike. We have been lucky that we have not had to deal with harassing phone calls from the majority of our creditors, because our telephone number is ex directory and was never given when we moved house (we didn’t have one to give at that time). They were given a mobile number and when the calls started, we ditched the mobile. Those that persisted were given harassment letters and eventually they too stopped. What really annoys me is the attitude of the majority of Creditors/DCA’s believe that the debtor “won’t pay” as opposed to “can’t pay”. You are to be commended for posting on here, but you must understand that the majority of us “debtors” have suffered months (some years) of constant abuse because of circumstances beyond our control. To be made to feel like the lowest of low is something I would not wish on my worst enemy, hope you understand
  15. Hey citizenB, perhaps we could start an over 50's and young parents (and grandparents in mine and Mr Z's case!! he he) club! Loved the "Last of the summer wine on the microwave" comment, but excuse me for asking, wot is a microwave knoxvillian, what can I say - you are one cheeky young man lol!!!! I've been using computers for years, although I must confess, I do not claim to know everything there is to know about their workings!! My DH is well knowledgeable though, so I leave it to him!!
  16. citizenB are you trying to make me feel better?!!! 111253, I'm glad mine and Mr Z's thread has been of some help to you. Good luck to you in your quest with the DCA **** that so loves to make our lives a misery! I know what you mean by not feeling your age, I too do not "feel" over 30 (most of the time anyway)!! knoxvillian, Re the bus pass, thanks so much for that, I aint over the hill yet young man!!! My eldest is four years older than you and my youngest 18 months younger than you, but I was a child bride!!!! We were always one of the youngest parents when ours were at school!!;-)
  17. babybear, you're only 40, anyway isn't 40 the new 30? I am 51 so I must be the new 41???? citizenB, Oh yes pelham9, thanks for your advice. Mr Z and I have no intention of contacting Amex again after the last letter just sent. It would be a pointless exercise as they say they will read and file but will not answer any more correspondance from Mr Z! Believe me, they and their chosen monkeys have been "invited" to take Mr Z to court many times over the last six months, none of them have taken up the offer
  18. Gee thanks babybear!!!! I didn't feel that old but i do now!!!! knoxvillian, thanks but the longer it takes the FOS to sort Mr Z's complaint out, the longer it will be before Amex can act on it (if at all) as it is in dispute
  19. Thanks babybear , I'll give it a couple of days to see if I get anything from them or their ilk first, but am itching to get a complaint off on behalf of Mr Z! I am wicked, but then I have a perfectly valid excuse - I am menopausal!!!!! Omg, that makes me feel soooo old!!
  20. Hi citizenB, Don't know that 'enjoyment' is the word, but the thought of Amex's Ms Snotty Nose throwing all her toys out of her pram does give me some satisfaction I've been a tad impatient and checked the Royal Mail website to see if they have all been delivered, 2 out of 3 aint bad!!! FOS complaint delivery isn't showing yet. babybear, too right!!!! I was just re-reading through your thread re: The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPUTR). surely Mr Z can send a complaint to TS regarding Citi Cards now and not have to wait for them to demand payment again? The Default notice they have sent recently is a demand for payment surely???
  21. Hello Mrs Z here. We have sent off a big fat complaint to FOS regarding Amex, the letter to Ms Snotty Nose at Amex advising her of this fact (thanks ScarletPimpernel for the template) and the complaint letter to Citi Cards. The proverbial s*** should hopefully be hitting the fan today or tomorrow. I will update on progress as and when, thanks every one who has helped
  22. Thanks citizenB, you're right of course - it's the waiting game now and I thought I'd feel better for having got it done! Since having financial problems, I've become a little paranoid (probably lots if I'm honest!!) and have this horrible feeling of dread in my stomach that they will suddenly comply with the CPR request before Friday!! Still, Mr Z wanted to get it done as he is back to work today through til Saturday. Oh well, what will be will be! Thanks again creditcardmug, thanks but we did send a hard copy to Incasso, never mind! I will update when we have news Mrs Z
  23. Cheers andyorch, will do that, I don't suppose it will hurt for them to have a copy of the Defence too. Thanks again, sorry for panicking!
