  1. Well done Yog! We are just beginning our journey with the 1st Credit cretins, not that they'll get far Mrs Z
  2. No worries, my own fault I have rewritten and sent now
  3. I'll have to rewrite the message as it's gone, guess I didn't save it when I moved back over to the thread, wot a numpty I am! I will have a coffee - I am gasping!! and then rewrite the PM
  4. Thanks again citizenB Ok will do, by the way I just tried to send you another PM and it says your inbox is full!!!!
  5. Hi citizenB, thanks again for your reply The Notice of Assignment letter (looks like to me anyway) that it's "supposed" (and I use that word loosely) to be from CitiFinancial, but I'd put money on it that it's actually from 1st Credit - hence the "return if undelivered" address on the back of the envelope being Reigate (PO Box version of 1st Credit's address). Let me see if I'm reading your post correctly, are you saying to wait until we recieve a letter from 1st Credit now Citi has assigned the debt over to them before replying to them? Sorry, getting myself all confused now - that's really not that hard at the mo Have I got that right? Also, are you saying I should do a complaint to the FOS in addition to Trading Standards and the OFT? The FOS will be well naffed off with me, especially after the large envelope sent with the Amex complaint!!!
  6. PS: Mr Z hasn't heard a dicky bird from Amex (hope I'm not speaking too soon!!)
  7. Thanks citizenB, but Amex is the FOS complaint - lol!! My fault for putting both Citi and Amex on the same thread!! Sorry, honest!! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction letter wise, I know the one you mean, I will do that also and of course include a copy to the complaint I will be getting together to post early next week! It's strange, because the other day, I was thinking about Citi's treatment concerning Mr Z and how I must get my act together and get a complaint sorted. I must be physic musn't I?? Thanks again
  8. Good morning all, Mrs Z here. This post concerns Citi Cards - boy, are they in so much trouble, this final straw has given me the kick up the backside that I needed to write a thick complaint file to Trading Standards and the OFT! Quick recap: Agreed a payment plan then reneged on it Formal complaints not dealt with properly Sending doorstep agents after getting (both DCA and OC) "do not darken my doorstep" letters, also outlining a diagnosed medical reason to the OC. CCA request totally ignored, 12+2+30 days were up 20th July Default notice sent 12th July Complaint re Default Notice sent 21st July Recieve a "dealing with your complaint" letter dated 22nd August Recieved a letter from Egg (found out via another thread I posted that Citi now owns Egg) asking for details of account numbers and previous address history - no mention it was for a Citi Card. Now this latest letter purported to be from Citi regarding 1st Credit (Finance) Limited. The letter looks like it has come from 1st Credit, the envelope gives a PO box, Reigate address "if undelivered", yet the letter alleged to be from Citi has a Sunderland address at the top. This rung a bell with me, so I checked the Citi Cards file and lo and behold a letter from Capital Collection Agencies (CCA) is there with exactly the same address sent back in February! I also note that CCA is a "Trading Style" of CitiFinancial Europe plc. After a feck off and do not darken my doorstep letter they left Mr Z alone. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn216/Misterzeus/CITIADONE.jpg Any suggestions/advice/opinions will be gratefully recieved, thanks One very hacked off with Citi Mrs Z
  9. I totally agree. Dash, I presume that your wife is aware of you losing your current job? You may as well go the whole hog and talk with her concerning your debts - they are technically hers too you know! Believe me, when Mr Z "informed" me the extent of our debt, it felt like a slap in the face. However, it was the "wake up" call that I needed to face facts and get my head out of the sand. Sorry to be so blunt, but at the end of the day it won't get any easier, trust me, get it sorted now, together you can plan your way forward. Kind Regards Mrs Z
  10. CitizenB, thanks again - will ignore with pleasure Andy - thanks, I am sure we will look forward to recieving correspondance from EOS - not!! Mrs Z
  11. Hi Dash, good luck with finding another job, like hopeful1 says, try to get some rest too, lack of sleep can magnify problems. Regards Mrs Z
  12. No worries citizenB, thanks so much once again for going to the trouble of looking through the thread Also, thanks so much for the draft letter. I will ponder on whether to write to them just yet or not May make them wait a while, see what else they come up with!!! Kind Regards, Mrs Z
  13. Hi citizenB, we are fine thanks, hope you are too No, the complaint to the FOS is Amex. So, is it best to ignore them or write and say that what they sent was merely an application form? Thanks again Mrs Z
  14. Good afternoon all, Mrs Z here Mr Z has recieved a "Do Not Ignore This Letter" from B, O & S today. It is filled with threats of door to door collectors visiting, court action etc, etc. Should Mr Z reply with a letter saying unless they come up with a properly executed CCA (as opposed to an unenforcable Application form) then they can go swivel or just file and totally ignore? Any advice appreciated, thanks
  15. You probably have a point there babybear
  16. Thanks babybear I must admit this Egg letter has annoyed me all day! Perhaps it is time to write to the appropriate bodies you've mentioned, although I doubt they'll be taken to book for it!
  17. Thanks for your reply fuzzybobble. Yes, I’m inclined to agree with you just to ignore it. The strange thing is, a Default Notice was sent to Mr Z from Citi after the CCA request was past the 12+2 but before the further 30 days were up. Mr Z responded with a complaint concerning this as they themselves were in default of the CCA request. He also put copies of the CCA request, RD slip and signed for delivery docket in with it. Then around a week ago Citi sent another letter stating they were dealing with Mr Z’s complaint. Now, this Egg letter has arrived and I personally find it rather suspect that they are asking for account numbers and previous address history. I do believe that the Citi credit card was originally Peoples Bank. Perhaps they (Citi) are using Egg to go on a fishing expedition. I will see what Mr Z thinks when he gets home from work, but I have no doubt he will feel the same way.
  18. Thanks for the swift response pt I don't get it though! If Citi own Egg now, why are they asking for all that info when its a Citi CC and they have all the relevant details anyway?? They (Citi) were out of time (12+2 +30 days) for the CCA request on the 20th July. After reading a thread where you said it's best to write and ask why they've not reponded - or words to that effect(sent 13th August) along with a copy of the CCA request sent the end of May. Do you think that they are being deliberately obtuse or just trying to be akward?? Egg's letter gives the impression that they have no account details etc Mr Z has with Egg, well they wouldn't with Egg as it is a Citi Credit Card. I just find it all rather strange, what should our next move be? Appreciate the help Mrs Z:)
  19. Morning all, Mrs Z here. Mr Z has recieved a letter this morning from Egg - WTF... Mr Z does not have an Egg Credit Card/loan or anything else to do with Egg! The only CCA's requested is for Amex, Citi Cards and Halifax CC's. Am I missing something here?? The name and address on the letter is correct, so what on earth is going on?? Are any of the above associated with Egg? http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn216/Misterzeus/EGGLETTERDONE.jpg Any help or advice appreciated, thanks in advance Mrs Z
