  1. I have been to Surrey Quays Shopping Centre car park a few times. Not only it is FREE to park (unless your car parked over a parking box, then it suddenly becomes a £100 fine), but as the centre manager, Ian Moore, is quoted in the article below saying: Signage within the car park does meet requirements, however, additional signage is being installed within the next week to improve visibility further. - that ultimately means that EVERYONE, who has been given a fine prior to that date of instalment MUST BE given a FULL REFUND, as the signage did not meet the requirements. However MET Parking Services were still scaterring fines on car windows.Southwark News - News
  2. Additionally: Create a post named Parking Tickets Company Companies with all known to us PPCs' full and abbreviated names, i.e.: Abstact Parking Company APC Ballooney Parking Solutions BPS Cuckoo International Parking Enforcement CIPE ... etc. Then below something like: If you have found this page via Google or other internet search please do not reply to this post but read this - (links to Letters and background information). If you want to post your question and register follow this links - (Register and the Current Top page of the forum links). Then in RED the warning not to post any private info that can identify them. Put this one up on the Sticky, so it always stays on top.
  3. What's the outcome? Are you still dealing with MET?
  4. Dear Jodieluke if search this forum you will find the threads of people who actually won this silly fight with PPCs. First, do not stress yourself, second read again the sticky. If it was me, I'd say something like this (IF ANYTHING AT ALL): Sir/Madam Re: Your letter dated [dd/mmmm/yyyy] Reference[#] I refer to previous correspondence.I see that you continue making statements that contradict the Contract Law upon which you are basing your claim. I deem this very unreasonable of you in regards to this matter. I have asked you to provide evidence to substantiate your claim against me and you have not done so. I feel that I have done all that I can to assist you. Unless you provide evidence to substantiate your claim against me I shall be unable to help you further in this matter. More so if this case you will have to explain to the judge why you have failed to provide the evidence in a timely manner. This alleged debt therefore still remains disputed by me. Save for supplying the evidence referred to above I must ask you to cease and desist correspondence with me. Let me reiterate that, other than as described above, any further correspondence from you or any other party in relation to this matter will result in me making a complaint to the police under the Protection From Harassment Act 1997 and very probably Extortion of Money. Yours faithfully
  5. It is a free shopping centre car park. The person's car wheel was over parking box line. It is a total [problem], I checked their signage and in my opinion it is designed NOT to be visible, but that's a longer argument then the one I am pusuing. I want help that person to get out of it as they take it a bit more serious rather then for what it is - Dutch lottery, so popular in the 90's.
  6. Thanks, Tiglet, for the link. Meanwhile, I see if the Google will produce the results. If it's a company it has to be registered and be listed in some directory.
  7. Thank you. Now, just noticed the sneaky b****rds only gave a PO Box address on their invoice - registered or recorded will not be accepted by Post Offic if it's a PO Box address. Need to find where this PPC is actually based and send it to their actual office.
  8. Would you send replies to PPCs recorded? The proson, I am looking into the for is literally watching their pennies. My only concern is, knowing the lying [problem] we up against, PPC will just deny ever receiving it. Cheers in advance!
  9. @ jasonstickstirrer. No, you were not involved in starting the Iraqi war. But your statement: "If private parking is such a [problem], why hasn't the government done anything about it?" is invalid on the basis that, IF the government is not doing something about something illegitimate, THEN it does make it legal. See - LOGIC. This post is for the benefit of newcomers, so they don't listen to yours and your other Log-In ID's cr4p.
  10. Bookworm, it is your decision. However, here is Wikipedia's definition (others may want to look it up in their Oxford dictionaries): "Moron was originally an English scientific term, coined in 1910 by psychologist Henry H. Goddard from the Greek word moros, which meant "dull" (as opposed to "sharp"), and used to describe a person with a mental age located between eight and 12 on the Binet scale. It was once applied to people with an IQ of 51-70, being superior in one degree to "imbecile" (IQ of 26-50) and superior in two degrees to "idiot" (IQ of 0-25). The word moron, along with others including "retarded", "idiotic", "imbecilic", "stupid", and "feeble-minded", was formerly considered a valid descriptor in the psychological community, though these words have all now passed into common slang use, exclusively in a derogatory context." - So, no offence, just a statement of obvious.
  11. M0I20N, (just before I leave) this government also supported US Iraqi war - an act deemed illegal by international lawers. Good bye.
  12. "And I have a life and a well paid job as a private parking operative. I'm proud of it." KPMG has a staff policy to have photos of the best performing staff in their co. publication. Wonder if you'd post yours, how long would you last in your 'hood??!!?? I am done here.
  13. jasonstickstirrer, get a life, [edited] . Don't you have like family, boy/girl-friend... PlayStation??? Or is it that the only place where people talk to you is here?
  14. Posted and expensive item via Royal Mail, even paid up to have it covered as in the past things got broken or gone missing. Now the item arrived damaged, contacted as advised by RM their office. They asked to send all in. I did. And then they refused to compensate me by stating the packaging was not adequate. Well, their site does not say it has to be made of steel, it even does not state that cardboard has to be of a particular thikness. I used packaging from our furniture - if it's good for furniture, surely it is good for a parcel?! Any advice, I have lost an item of over £100 in value. Thanks.
  15. Well, like others said it here before: names, dates, court cases - this little niggly bit called supporting evidence for your statements. On the other hand, I have seem few private parking sites with hidden signs as the intention is to extort money NOT to inform the motorist. Not to mention the whole other inconsistent stuff. Until we see here posts from people who have lost their cases in droves (with dates and case numbers; in case you are willing to fabricate), there is no basis in your statements. As I have said, if you feel so strong about your position, what the flop are you doing here, just sit back and wait for the court judgements in your favour to roll in.
  16. Argue in the court. You know you cannot. BTW, you are one and the same as Bernard Skintlebinger and Julian Fiddlepot? Otherwise seems like an invasion of people using the same naming conventions. I hope it pays well to go on a triple.
  17. @ jeremylongfinger. I, for once, fail to see the point of banning you. As they say - keep your friends close, but enimies... . Once you start telling people that they need to pay up, it becomes clear to them that you are a [problem]... sorry troll, and don't listen any more. Besides, If your business is so within a law, why do you feel like hanging around these pages. I don't see cops moonlighting at Pepipoo telling people they cannot escape NIPs. So, mate, you an idiot, who has just proven that you HAVE to bully and lie in order to extract money and This Is called Racket.
  18. Police ain't keen tp prosecute teenage criminals either, for law complexity not because their action are unlawful. I'd imagine a lot of these PPCs are run by people with criminal convictions or people close to the criminal world. Here is another article along the same lines:DVLA sells your details to criminals | the Daily Mail you notices that you never find any names of directors on their websites and they don't give their full/real name when on the phone. Fear of retribution? Why if they say their cause is so righteous? I think it'd be good to have a few of these mugs posted on the net somewhere - just imagine your neighbourhood realises that you are a scambag.
  19. "the signage was wrong" - how one defines that? I have been through the BPA Code and know a couple of private lots where signage is not what it says should be in the Code, but it's voluntary, so no one gives a toss, even when I pointed out to the site manager. There are no clear cut points re signage one can argue in a court.
  20. Tomtubby, thumbs up to the she, well pointed out, kudos to a woman who knows her stuff. We, silly, mostly self-centered and blinkered men, always presume the he.
  21. Precisely! That's why we need to make a lot of noise to get noticed by other, more powerful, public bodies in order to influence the change. In a way a fine from a private parking co is like a letter from Dutch or Nigerian lottery - unsolicited [problem] intended to part us with our money.
  22. sideshowbob, start reading this (just copy and paste the address into your address bar): http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bailiffs-sheriff-officers/ - it is a part of this consumer forum group, sticky notes first then posts that might be relevant. (Also found this page: Consumer Debt and Bailiff Advice - Hello & Welcome , BUT not sure how good it might be, looks ok at first sight) meanwhile people here will have time to respond.
  23. Wonder, if taking this article and the one in the Mail On Sunday along to a court hearing is worth the effort? Ok, this does not set a precedent but surely if one judge found this illegal so surely should the other, as the game these crooks play is one and the same.
