  1. Hi Standing, I have just done the same as you, sent SAR 25th March and just sent a 2nd letter with ID today, I had a win of just under 4k from Natwest recently but i am still a bit new to this forum but as far as i know they would take the charges off the balance, not to sure about the payment plan, in my opinion once they have agreed to a plan they, couldnt change it if you are paying on time and not breaking the agreement, i will read up some more over the w/end and see if i can find out anymore info for you, Good luck keep us posted, i can compare my claim to yours, then with a bit of luck it will be a doddle Lee
  2. thanks Cornucopia i didnt send ID with SAR so i will take your advice and send another letter with copy of drivers licence and stick to the 40 days, will be interesting to see what charges i have incurred, looking forward to the challenge Many thanks again Lee x:D
  3. Hi Madhouse, i would imagine that credit card accounts are the same as bank accounts, with respect to adding to your schedule of charges, i which case you can keep on amending until you file your claim with the courts, hope this helps Lee
  4. Hi again, Sent off SAR today so by Tuesday the 40 days countdown begins, wish me luck Could anyone give me some advice on the question above please, many thanks Lee
  5. Hi Brunette, Thanks, it has been worth the wait, Natwest may pay up before the date it depends how quickly you get the date back from the court, but it is highly unlikely you will see the inside of the Court as Natwest will pay before it gets that far, hang in there Brunette you are nearly there, keep us informed of your progress :D
  6. Hi Steve, Best thing to do is start here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ Spend a few days reading up on everything, then when your ready start a thread in your banks forum http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/abbey-bank/ click on new thread at the top, and give your thread a title that way people in the same bank as you can help you with your questions, also read up on some other threads to get an idea of whats to come, good luck and keep us informed of your progress Lee
  7. Hi bolivar, congratulations on the win, i am just starting a claim against MBNA now, after winning just under 4k from Natwest, how do MBNA play it? i am sending off for SAR on the w/end but i know that my charges are going to be less than my outstanding balance, just wondering do they generally ask for the balance back after a claim or just take the charges off the balance?? If you contact a mod. they will move your thread for you Lee

    Lee v MBNA

Hi everyone, Just thought i would introduce myself to everyone claiming from MBNA, after a very successful claim against the Natwest for just under 4k i thought i would turn my attentions to MBNA, before i start my claim i have to check to see if i have any defualts against me from them so hopefully gonna send SAR on the wekend. Just need to check that this is the address to send to, MBNA Europe Bank ltd Stansfield House Chester Business Park Chester CH49QQ Also just one more question, my balance on the card is over my credit agreement and the charges are not going to be near the outstanding balance, how do MBNA play this do they generally ask for the remainder to be paid up or, hopefully take the charges off the balance Many thanks in advance Lee
  9. Hi Buck, Welcome to the CAG, my advice would be to read, read and read some more, get as much info as you can so you know what to expect during your claim, best to start here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ then when you are ready start a thread in your banks forum and keep us posted on your progress, so we can help you on your way. also if your lost everything you need to know is here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/site-questions-suggestions/53182-cant-find-what-youre.html#post436526 good luck Lee
  10. Hi gd, I'm not 100% sure but i think that most banks will offer a basic account of some sort, although i maybe corrected on that, maybe Nattie will know, i have also read a lot of threads on this site and the only one i have heard of being closed was one with A+L and if i'm right in thinking they got repremanded by the OFT although i maybe corrected again. Don't worry about thinking you will be the one they pick on, i thought the same with mine, but i got through pretty unscathed, Good luck and keep us posted with your progress Lee if this has helped please click the scales:D
  11. Hi Cath, Welcome to the CAG, it is very doubtfull that your case will see the inside of a Court room, the best thing to do, is to start a thread in the Halifax forum and keep everyone posted of your progress, that way all your questions can be answered by members of the same bank as you. With regards to the legalities of it, the bank charges are unlawful under common law and are not a genuine pre-estimate of cost to the banks, under both the UCTCCR 1999 and UCTA 1977, also they are not reasonable under SGSA 1982, if you look here you can get meanings of abbrieviations http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/site-questions-suggestions/53182-cant-find-what-youre.html#post436526 Also start here and read as much as you can http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ Good luck and keep us posted Lee
  12. Hi epth99 that is the address i used throughout my claim, i used the N1 forms but it will be the same for MCOL, its their registered address, if this helps please click the scales:D Lee
  13. Hi janno, Welcome to the CAG, I dont think it would be a problem to claim your charges back, the best thing to do is to start a thread in the Natwest forum and someone else can correct me if i'm wrong, once in there keep us posted on your progress so we can help you all the way, Also if you start here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ spend a few days reading these and other peoples threads to get a good idea of what to expect good luck Lee if this has helped please click the scales on the left:D
  14. Hi Neil, sorry i havent replied, ive not been online for a few days, have you received an AQ yet, when i got mine it was only a matter of a week when they paid out, if not it might be worth ringing the Court and saying that you are due in on the 26th March, but not received an AQ yet and see what they say. If you havent received yours then Natwest wont have theirs yet, it also might be an idea to start getting your Court bundle together just in case, but i doubt you'll need it:) Hang in there mate it shouldn't be too long now Lee
  15. re above if you havent sent in AQ yet see here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/11644-allocation-questionnaires-guide-completion.html also you need to do 3 copies and enclose £100 fee, they will pay up you are nearly there now
  16. Hi Brunette, is that the AQ you are referring to?? if so when i sent mine in i also added another list of charges because they said the same thing to me, if i were you i would send them another copy of schedule of charges, have you received a court date yet??
  17. Hi everyone even though i won my money back still getting offers from Natwest (Mr Higley). Recieved a letter the other day thanking me for my letter dated 2nd December and saying sorry i have concerns about the charges applied to my account, they have offered to put £3185 into my account, they must be so busy with all the claims going through they havent cottoned onto the fact that they have already returned the money to me, so, i'm going to write back thanking him very much for the offer to pay (again) but kindly refuse and inform him that it has already been settled.
  18. Hi Nesjohn, welcome to the CAG, best to spend a few days reading other threads and the FAQs to gather as much info as you need for the claim ahead Start here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ then when you are ready start a thread in your banks forum and we can follow your progress and help when needed good luck Lee if i have helped please click the scales on the left
  19. Hi Puffle, welcome to the CAG, the best thing to do is start a thread in the Barclays section so other Barclays members can view your progress and advise you along the way spend a few days reading up and gathering as much info as you can ready for your claim to start. start here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ good luck and keep us posted on your progress If i have helped please click the scales on the left

  24. Hi Brenda, you are nearly there now and soon you will be the proud owner of a cheque from Natwest:D Slight change of plan on my claim, i received the cheque for the full amount, but i didnt accept the conditions they put on it so i sent Cobbetts a letter last Monday and waiting to here back from them, so my AQ goes in 2moro, so hopefully everything will be ok.
