  1. Oh so it's not 28 days from when they acknowledge it?
  2. I was being dipsy sorry! You're right, they have until the 14th of March.
  3. What did you say in the emails? I need some "how to bug DG" tips, as I'm reaching that stage in my claim.
  4. Left Rachel a message to call me back and she did! Second time she's done that when requested, quite impressed! Confirmed she'd received my summary of charges.
  5. Yeah it's lovely there - an idyllic place to grow up. And yes I believe it was the first main crossing.
  6. Okay. I've given them a ring today as my summary of charges hadn't been received on Friday. Spoke to Andy who said he'll hand it over to Rachel and get her to ring me back. He originally told me he'd get her to ring back if they hadn't received it but I insisted that she rang me back to confirm if they had or hadn't. The last day for them to defend is the 7th of March so I have just over a week of waiting left before they have to defend.
  7. Hey, our timescales are very similar, my MCOL was acknowledged 1 day before yours, on the 14th of Feb. I haven't received any offer yet though. Good luck with yours, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see how it's going.
  8. Just to follow up on the Cornish side of things (sorry for the off-topic post here! ) - Was born and grew up in a lil village called Gunnislake in Cornwall, quite near St. Austell I think!
  9. Okay, I have those printed off so have been looking through them for a while now. Can I expect to see an offer anytime before they defend? Or is it unheard of?
  10. Thank you netty. Just a quick run over of what's going to happen now, so if people could correct me if I'm wrong - that'd be great. So.. I've sent my summary of charges to DG now that I have the notice of Acknowledgement from the court, with the 'intending to defend' box ticked. Am I right in saying that I now wait until the 28 days is up, and I'm expecting them to defend at the last minute.. so once they defend I then receive the allocated questionnaire? I've been doing a lot of reading up on timelines etc here - but still a bit hazey over this bit! Also, can I expect them to give me an offer at any point? Thanks a lot in advance.
  11. double posted by accident - so deleting this one.
  12. Glad to hear it then. I keep getting Rachels voicemail - they all sound like they've not been sleeping too well!!
  13. Just to add - I got Rachels voicemail, and called back Debbie and explained I'd sent it to her, which is when she told me it was being dealt with by Rachel.
  14. Thanks. Just rang Debbie to see if she got my summary of charges which I sent, and before I could even explain anything she said "i'm not dealing with this i'll put you through to the person who is" and transferred me to Rachel Tomlinson. I addressed it to Debbie when I sent it, and she said she won't have seen it, it would go straight to 'the other team who will be dealing with it'. This makes no sense to me! Has this happened to anyone before?
  15. Okay thanks. Is there a way that we can actually get in touch with DG? I'm getting Debbies voicemail constantly, but I expected that. I'm wanting to confirm that they received my summary of charges, but have a feeling that getting in touch with them will not be easy as I'd like it to be.
  16. Just a quick update. Received the Acknowledgement of service, so I sent off to Deborah the list of charges and cover letter. What can I expect next? Are they likely to file a defence? Thanks in advance.
  17. I've been looking around for information on the AQ. I don't suppose anyone would be able to link me to more info about it, if there is any, please? *edit* nevermind actually - found it!
  18. Just a quick update. My claim has now been acknowledged! So I have the 28 days to wait now, which I'm sure they'll make my wait the whole length of.
  19. *Another* question (sorry!).. I've been reading other peoples cases and it all seems like there's a lot of different things to do. I've filed the claim and sent off the letter/charges summary to MCOL, do I need to do anything now or is the ball in their court? Also - I keep reading about an AQ, what is one of those? If there's a page which has information about this kind of thing on here, which I've managed to miss, i'd be very greatful if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks!
  20. Well the charges are only £25 - but it affects the total, and the interest etc. Surely if my claim is incorrect they'll notice and pick me up on it? I'm happy not to pay the £25, as the £35 charge is more so I'll be losing out, I just want everything to be correct. Do you think it will affect the claim then or not? Also - if I didn't amend it, when sending the list of copy of the charges to them, do I take off the September charge or leave it on there?
  21. Just as I was thinking that things were going relatively unstressfully - I realise I've made a mistake on the claim. So I now have to reissue the claim and pay a £35 fee because of it. When writing the dates in my particulars I put Aug 06 instead of September 06.. not sure how on earth I did this, but either way it means I have to fill in lots of forms to get it changed then re-issued. And to make it worse, the forms look very confusing.. I'm so annoyed at myself for being so careless. My last charge was taken in September, so it even messes up all the amounts which I've put on the spreadsheet. So very annoying.
