How Do I Quote??

Feel a doofus for asking...........how do i 'quote'.

every time I click quote it automatically opens a submit box but the whole previous comment appears in it. i delete what i dont want but when my comment is posted it doesnt have the blue quote box around it or the 'originally posted by banana' bit. what am i doing wrong????

I found that easiest (doing copy and paste to get the text) the Quotey button was a bit complicated for me.......

Did that work?

Or (and it's really not complicated!), look at post you want to quote, click bottom "quote" button. It will automatically put the whole text in a quote box. All you have to do is then delete the parts you don't want to keep, if any.

 

If you want to quote from somewhere else, you can click on the quote button above. If you look carefully, you will see your cursor is in between the 2

, so you just type your message in between. If it's part of a text you have copied, then just paste (or CTRL+V) between the

.
