  1. I know that 360.com is closing 31/12/11 although it seems vodafone customer services aren't sure as I have been told dec and March. When I took out my contract, my stipulations were that it could send and receive emails on the go from my home email account , get online and of course make calls and txtx. I was advised on the N97mini against a blackberry. When i tried to send emails I was finally told that I had to use smtp.360.com as my email provider was talktalk. All well and good. Now 360 is closing and no one at vodafone can tell me how to send emails in the future. I could use gmail, but that doesnt give the service I need or want. Does this now make my phone defunct and not fit for what I need and if so am I within my rights to cancel the contract without penalty. In addition I have a mobile dongle for my laptop and the same applies. If you use gmail, it shows your gmail address where all I want people to have is my talktalk one.
  2. I've just gotten off the phone with vodafone customer services, and I am absolutely fuming! I signed up to a contract 6 months ago and was sold a Nexus S, which I was told at the time had a Super AMOLED display. Basically, I didn't realise it at the time, but there's more than one kind of Nexus S! I was sold an i9023 model, which does NOT have an Amoled display, but something else which doesn't seem to be as bright or as clear compared with my friend, who has a different Samsung phone. Other than that, the phones seem identical so I didn't realise it until very recently. I rang vodafone today about something else, but figured when I was on the phone to them, I would tell them about this problem to see what they could do about it. The guy on the phone was really quite rude. He told me I'd have to take the phone back to the shop to complain about being mis-sold and so-called "customer services" could do nothing over the phone. When I pointed out that I bought it in a Vodafone shop and had now moved house, meaning it wasn't at all convenient to go back there, he basically told me that was tough luck. He then implied that I was totally stupid to not have realised that I was sold the wrong phone and was being completely ridiculous to bring it up at this stage!! (Possibly he was right, but not appreciated!) When I asked him to speak to his supervisor, he simply said "No"!!!! Nothing else, no reason why, just "No". I realise that 6 months down the line is kind of late to be complaining that I was sold the wrong phone, but are they allowed to refuse to escalate my complaint like that??
  3. I have 3 work phones with vodafone and 1 additional phone for my girlfriend. My bills are paid via direct debit each month so to be honest i do not really check them. Since taking out the contracts in 2006 myself and my girlfriends phone have been on their friends and family tariff meaning we get free calls to each other as long as they do not last longer then 60 minutes. I upgraded our phones again in 2008 to the same tariff and again in March this year. However. When i upgraded the phones in March this year i was told that my phone and my girlfriends phone were not on the friends and family tariff meaning that between 2008-2011 we had been charged for all calls or they had taken up my free minutes. I was told that when the last phone was upgraded a different number was placed on the friends and family. I asked for a recording of the upgrade as i remember asking for the exact same deals, as i have done with all phones. The problem is vodafone only keep recordings for 6 months. They gave me a credit of £75 as a gesture but clearly told me that i couldn't prove their mistake and it was a gesture of good will. I have since ordered my statements and am going through them to find the charges and will forward them my findings but what i want to know is can i charge them for the 'free' minutes as this should not have been accounted for on the calls. Also can i charge for my time in going through the bills. I work as a personal trainer and charge clients £65 for 45 minute sessions and the final question is how do i take it to court if they do not refund me what i am owed. Thanks in advance for your help.
