    Cahoot CCA

I will try and keep this as short as I can. I had a bank account with Cahoot. The last time anything went I to the account was Feb 2009, that was tax credits, they confirmed this. They have been applying charges every month, month after month. I have not heard from them for some years, I have always denied this debt. In 2011 I element to the financial ombudsman, with the complaint that these charges were being applied to the account and I do not recognise to hem. The FOS said to hem hey were applied fairly, even though I have never been notified about them, s

    Damned DVLA..........

The new keeper had to sign it though. Hence sending it to him to sign and Tax. When I got the replacement vehicle I was given the whole V5 to fill my part in and send off. I got the replacement the week before.

    Damned DVLA..........

Hi, Unsure what I should to here. I sold my car on 6th March 2013. I was in the process of getting the private plate removed, so I did not have the log book at the time of sale. Car sold, and buyer came to pick it up on the 6th March. The tax was due to expire on the 31st March. I received the log book back from DVLA, on the 18th March (with the mow old VRN on) and sent it the same day to the new keeper with details filled in and signed. He asked me to send the logbook so he could tax it, where the PO will take the logbook off him and send to get the vehicle registered in

Is there a tamplate I can use, the letter in the link refers to being on benefits, and hardship etc. I have read somewhere there is a rule about levying charges upon charges. This is what has happened here. I can change the letter in the ling, but then I dont think there will be any substance to it, and dont want to quite different rules if I am not sure. Also they will probably ask me for an income and expenditure form , and see that I am not in real financial hardship, although I was out of work in 2010 for 3 months.. Thanks Bob

I am not in receipt of benefits, and not in financlai hardship. I just object to them charging me every month for years without informing me, letting me log onto the account, and not answering my complaints over the years. Then having the gall to demand full payment otherwise they will default me...

It is charges, and only charges. I have been arguing this, wrote to the CEO's office, and they say there is nothing they can do as the FOS have ruled in their favour, and it has cost them. .... BUT, what the FOS ruled for was that the account was opened correctly, nothing to do with the charges that have gone on month after month. .. Thats my point, and also that they have not been informing me. They are going to default me in 3 weeks unless this has all been paid. I tried to call collections yesterday, and I failed security because I could not name one og the

    Cahoot CCA

I had a case with the FOS, where I questioned the legality of the opening of my Cahoot current account. I did not sign anything, I had a credit card a few years earlier, and as I had signed that, the FOS deemed it acceptable for Cahoot to open a current account 3 years later using the same signature from three years earlier... Well as this has been going on and on, Cahoot have been charging me £30 + interest a month. They took away my online login, so I could not login to the account since 2009. I have not received anything from them for over 2 years. Just be

Well I have had another reply from FOS. They have enclosed a copy of the Credit Agreement. It states (which they have highlighted) "The Cahoot Account consists of the credit card and the cahoot current account" So when I signed for the credit card in 2000, I was infact signing for a current account aswell, that Cahoort didn't open for over 2 years, when they made a mistake on the credit card. I was advised that 2 agreements shoulkd have been signed, but have now found out that is for accounts opened before 2007. "The Cahoot Account" agreement that I signed was aboloshed in 2007.

Hi, Yes the account was used. The charges are for going overdrawn. Which have gone on month after month. I have questioned them all. I never received a response to any of them. I stopped using the account years ago now, and the DR balance is from these ridiculous monthly charges ever since.

Well further to the above, I contacted Cahoot, and spoke to someone who was very helpful. He agreed that a second agreement should have been signed, and could not understand how a current account was opened without one. He then confirmed that he could see this had indeed gone on for years, and was dgoing to try and sort it out. He called back 10 minutes later to say there was nothing they could do as it is with the FOS...... Who are telling me something completely different, and are no help. I have asked for a face to face meeting with the FOS and Cahoot..... Lets see...
  14. Old post I know... But who did you speak to as I am in a similar position here. I had a credit card with them, which I soigned an agreement for in 2000. Cahoot opened up a current account in 2002, without me signing anything, and sent me a card. They have applied charges month after month, and it now stands at 4K OD. I have complained to the FOS and they say the agreement I signed in 2000 for the credit card also stands for the current account that THEY opened in 2002. Madness... I need to sort this out asap, and was wondering who you spoke to. Thanks

I have had a reply from the FOS today saying that as I signed an agreement for a credit card in 2000, the same agreement is also applicable for any other accounts opened in the future... REALLY!!!! Surely I would have to sogn a new agreement for a current account.... Cahoot's agreements had for credit cards and current ac****s on them, so a one for all agreement. But surely I would have to sogn another one to be in agreement with the account upened 2 years later, and also for a current account not a credit card... I am :mad2:over all of this.. Basically Cahoot have not responded
