  1. Okay thanks for that, as I said I have a judge make me bankrupt as I have a lot of debt that due to my circumstances changing have no way of paying back.
  2. Defend it I think, though I would like more info from them. How would I do that? I have no way of paying as I'm on income support, I'm disabled and have no chance of coming up with that kind of money. I have other debts which I am never going to be able to pay, could I get a judge to make me bankrupt?
  3. I have received claim from county court in Northampton from MKDP LLP, with the following particulars of claim. The claimant claims the sum of £9,366.22 being monies due from the Defendant (s) to HSBC Bank Plc under a loan agreement regulated by the Consumer credit Act 1974 which was assigned to the claimant on 8/12/2011. Notice of assignment has been provided to the Defendant (s). The defendant(s)'s loan account number was xxxxxx/xxxxxxxx. The defendant(s) has failed to make payments in accordance with the terms of the loan agreement. A Default Notice has been served pursuant to the Consumer Credit Act 1974 by HSBC Bank Plc. The claimant claims the sum of 9,366.22 and costs. The claimant has complied, as far as is necessary, with the Pre-Action Conduct Practice Direction. I have done a acknowledgement of service, this court claim has come completely out of the blue and I have no idea what to do so I am hoping that you guys can guide me on what to do.
  4. If the ipad was only 4 months old then should I not expect a replacement? You would expect an ipad to last longer than it has done? Am I not covered under the sales of goods act?
  5. Been registered for a long time but never really needed to ask for help much but hopefully someone can help me. Got an ipad on contract from vodafone and have only had it for 4 months and it has broke, it does not boot up anymore. What are my rights? can I ask vodafone for a replacement or do I have to have it picked up by them for repair?
  6. I looked in the store and there was another phone that I liked, plus they said that I could only exchange for the same model phone. I dont understand why I am not entitled to a refund as I have never had a problem before when something has been faulty.
  7. I have had the phone for 15 days and apart from using the phone to top up with the voucher given by 3, it hadnt been used because the phone kept on turning itself off. Apparently it is a known fault on this phone.
  8. Hi, I purchased a handset from a local three store, but it has become faulty. I took it back to get a refund and was told it is their policy that I could only have it repaired or exchange it for another one. I said this was wrong and that under the sales of goods act I am entitled to a refund. Am I right that I can choose whether it is a refund or replacement or repaired?
  9. Thanks for that. I do tend to panic so will tryy not to.
  10. Can you tell me where i can find all the info? I can get legal aid just that they said that any more correspondence has to be with their solicitor that scares me a bit.
  11. I let them know 3 days after we bought them. The labels just had the price on it, which is why I told my wife to ring them up. We have proof that we rang them from the phone bill but like you said not the actual conversation. Will we need to get a solicitor involved to take them to court?
  12. Before christmas my wife saw a laptop in the window of a shop called cash generator, i told her to ring the shop up to find out the specifications of the laptop before purchasing, she did this explaining we wanted wireless internet. They advised my wife the laptop had a 40gb hard drive. On being told the specifications and that the laptop was wireless enabled my wife went to the shop and we purchased 4 of the laptops (presents for our childen). The first chance of me have a look at these was 48 hours later, and i found that the laptops were not wireless enabled, only had 20gb hard drives and were all 2nd hand (approx 4 and a half years old). We purchased the 4 laptops for 1316 pounds. they are refusing to take them back as they say they have done nothing wrong, they offered us two deals. first was too take all the laptops back and get 900 cash back, the second deal was a full refund on 2 laptops and keep the other 2. We refused and they will only deal with us through their solicitor. Can soemone advise if we are right to ask for a refund?
