  1. Received what is supposed to be a CCA but I have my doubts. Zubo has advised me to run through it as per his instructions show on the CCA thread.
  2. Thanks zubo. I'll do that and if I get stuck I'll be back if that's ok. Brain getting old - 56 today!
  3. I received back today from Stevensdrake/Amex what is supposed to be a CCA, although I am not sure that it is and I am sure that one of you most knowledgeable person can keep me right. I have tried to scan what I got back but to no avail. I've only received a fron page. It does have on "credit agreement regulated by CCAct 1974" and a place for the applicants signature which I had signed. In bold letters at the top of the "agreement" it says, signature only required inlarge font and below states "virtually all you have to do is sign your name". Any thoughts anyone?
  4. Nice one Andrew. If only all the others would roll over as easy.
  5. Anything happening? Wor lass has managed to spend our refund! Ian
  6. Just had the LloydsTSB "on your bike letter" following the LBA. Oh well, next stage I suppose. Is this bank taking the P or what? Will it never learn? Ian
  7. Between the post office and fredrickson they appear to playing silly buggers. My CCA was not signed for, indeed it is still shown as undelivered. i reckon the postie has just dumped it in with all the po box mail.To confirm receipt I've had to write to the postal order corres. section to see if it has been cashed. What a clart on. I think it's a safe bet that Fred. does not have a CCA. If this is the case can someone confirm that I would be within my rights to reclaim all the monies (after the 42 days) I have paid to them based on the assumption that I made regarding the ownership of the debt,ie. because they wrote to me and said the debt was now theirs, pay the money to them.
  8. Thanks lb17, will do. Cheers.
  9. I haven't received my CCA back from Wescot and the 12 day time limit has expired. Do I write to them and advise that the debt is now unenforceable or do I just sit tight and wait for the next 30 days to expire; or whatever else transpires?
  10. Been concentrating on Wesct/MBNA, have sent CCA to Stevensdrake today.
  11. Checked on the thread listings and can't find Think Money Ltd. I have checked the web site and lo and behold, it is a debt management group; no surprise there then! Won't be giving them my custom.
  12. Cheers Phil, will do. Ian
  13. I requested my CCA from Wescot and the 12 working day expiry is up on Friday. To date, it has not been forthcoming. However, in the [post today from Wescot was a letter informing me that if I was struggling with debt Think Money Ltd (TML) may be able to help. "Wescot works together with TML, an organisation which can offer independent? advice to anyone who is experiencing financial difficulty. How can it be independent if they are working together? I think there's a rabbit off here. Is this conincidence or perhaps Wescot does not have my CCA and they are trying to lure me into a trap elsewher; they have no rocking chance. What do you think? Ian
  14. Thank you for the template Tanzarelli. Just to clarify; it is ok to send this to fredrickson before I hear back from Cap One and can I take it that I can send it before Fred. replies to my CCA request?
  15. Cheers Paul I've just had a glimpse of the Sunday Mirror and there's a large spread regarding the bank charges. Mum of three is the main story. Lloyds really must be p***sed off as they seem to be taking the brunt; tough cacky (that's posh geordie for sh*t) eh? I'm doing the work, he'll collect the dosh. I've got others in the pipeline as well although I might not get anywhere as a couple are over six years old and I had paid off the debts which I reckon would have been substantially smaller if it had not been for charges! Ian
  16. I've been paying small instalments to Fredrickson on behalf of my son in respect to a debt to cap one. I hadn't bothered as yet to ask cap one what the charges were but I'm pretty sure they would wipe out the remainder of the debt due. I think I'll wait for a reply from fredrickson (without paying anymore cash as I don't know where it's been going, unless they bought the debt) before approaching cap one as it may not be necessary.
  17. Although it's early in the day, recorded delivery LBA was sent on 22/2 but according to the royal mail, it has not yet been delivered. It should have been signed for on Friday and I don't suppose postie takes it on a Saturday if it wasn't. How long should I give Royal Mail to show confirmation of delivery; or does lloyds have a habit of not signing?
  18. Has anyone had trouble getting a CCA signed for? I sent recorded delivery on Wednesday but nothing shown on the royal mail site as yet. Early days but first class should have been delivered by now. I did make the mistake of sending it to the PO Box but that should not cause a problem.
  19. Having been sucessful with my claim from Black Horse, I am now starting on the quest to get number one son his charges back. He owes me that much it'll probably end up in my pocket! Black Horse was a doddle; like to think LTSB will be too but I have my doubts. Already have the information I need so battle has commenced. In anticipation I had already sent off the Prelim. Letter. No reply of course. LBA sent today by Recorded Delivery to LTSB Customer Care Lloyds TSB 125 Colmore Row Birmingham B3 3SF Although he gets his nasty letters from Brighton I have seen this address used quite a few times.
  20. Confirmed as a winner, received my cheque today. Wor lass off to spend some. Ian
  21. I've definetely won. Got my cheque today. Wor lass is off to spend some of it. ian
  22. Thanks pm, I will send off my CCA today and get the ball rolling.
  23. OB What a bunch of big soft sh***s. I must have softened them up last week with my dulcet geordie tones. They'll be hearing them again shortly 'cos I haven't got my cheque yet; although it is only five working days. Did they say they've raised payment today? Start counting for payment. Ian
  24. old bear When I spoke with BH on Monday the amount they said they would pay differed from my amount by twenty five quid. I knew it would as my statement also showed "a charge of 25 quid would be collected on completion of the loan". BH quickly backtracked when I quickly pointed out that the whole idea of all the claims they had received was the high rate of charges; thick or what? Ian
  25. Cheers Phil I might have a problem though as I think my charges were added over 6 years ago; unfortunately, my original correspondence was lost and I am having to go off memory although I do have the original account numbers. Should I still go ahead with the charges claim from MBNA?
