  1. Got my claim number from the court last week. It said the claim was deemed served on the 9th and Halifax have untill the 23rd to reply. am going to ring them to see if they can tell me if Halifax have said they are going to defend.
  2. Right, A week on from putting my claim in. no news:( but have been reading the other threads and most people are getting their letters from Halifax after about 10 days.
  3. Oooo, my court claim was deemed to be served on the 9th! Good luck with yours, is it me or is the time going really slow now we are waiting for our money!!!!!
  4. Right, thurs 9th I got my letter from the court with my claim number and also telling me my claim is deemed to be served on the 9th. Got a letter from Halifax today ( sat 11th ) saying my statements have been ordered and will be sent under separate cover!!:o :-? :-? Bless em, think they must be overworked at the minute.
  5. This site is a bit confusing isnt it. Make sure you read and re read the FAQs lots! Start your own thread in the Halifax forum, I have one in there, I have just filed my claim at court so should get my money soon! Once you have all your statements with the charges on, its time for your prelim letter. Templates for this and all the other letters you need can be found in the Bank Templates Forum.
  6. Ok, so, filed on tuesday 7th, and on wed 8th I got a letter from Halifax replying to my letter accepting their goodwill gesture as part payment, basically telling me, you had your chance, now you cant have anything. Ha, we will see wont we Howard!!!!

  8. Right, just got back from county court, gave in my N1's , paid my fee now I've got to wait. The bloke there was very positive, he said he had just won against Barclays and assured me that no bank is going to go the whole way to court.

  10. Congratulations!!!!! I am due to take my form to court on tues 7 th Nov. Fingers crossed, could do with the money for xmas!!!!! I am claiming £3654. Well done, bet its a great feeling knowing you made them pay up.

  12. Got a letter from Halifax today, an offer of £660. My claim is for £3654, so am thinking, hmmmmm, no.
  13. Oh my God, well done you!!!! Halifax have untill wed 7 th nov to answer my LBA, then I'm off to small claims!!! Must say, I keep thinking I'll be the one they make an example of and take me to court!!! Fingers crossed for me and CONGRATULATIONS to you.
  14. Quick question. Mt sisters claim is over £4000. Wheh she has to take it to small claims she doesnt want to add on the 8% as it will go above £5000. She hasnt got much money and has been saving so she can get the £120 to make the claim. Does the £5000 count as the claim before or after the 8%?
  15. I hand delivered my SAR and one week later I thought sod it I'm not waiting so I e-mailed customer service and complained that I hadnt even had an acknowlegement. I got a reply from lady who said she'd sort it for me. Three days later my statements were here!! I think its luck of the draw who you speak to. Some people are more helpful than others.

  17. Ok, divvy mode again. My court form, where it says about my solicitor. I had one for my mortgage, so I've got one to use. What do I do. Give them a call before I send the court form in, what will they charge etc. I am useless at this sort of stuff. Have the mind of a 10 yr old when it comes to this!!! Heeeeelp.
  18. Yes, I know I should have sent the prelim first but I didnt. I asked if anyone else had done that in the chat room and a few had so I didnt feel so bad about it.
  19. Thanks Have been feeling confident I'll get my money till now. My mums very " oh no its all a con, you wont get any money". Am planning on giving her some money IF my claim comes through. Well, they have just over a week to make me an offer otherwise, I'm claiming the 8% in my court form too. Wish me luck.

  21. Help, I sent my LBA off on tues 25 th Oct. I have got a letter from Halifax today, 28th which says, Sorry you have had to take the time to write to us regarding this matter, blah blah I have passed your concerns on to our customer relations dept. Your concerns will be dealt with asap. Is this standard? Do I keep to my 14 days deadline for Small claims? Please reply someone.

  23. Thats great to hear!!! I've got a week and a bit untill I put in at small claims and I am sure I'll be the odd one that doesnt get their money back, but this has made me feel much better. Cant believe some people would settle for less.
  24. Have got a few questions. Can I fill in my court form by hand, not to good on the pc, Also, I couldnt do the spreadsheets so I sent a printed list with all the charges, dates etc with my LBA. Will I be able to do that with the court claim, if so how do I work out the interest? Sorry to be such a div!!!!!
  25. Oooo, good. Have been looking what I'm supposed to do to claim in court if I have to and I'm a bit stuck. Hope it doesnt go that far but hey ho.
