I have been helping my sis claim her charges back from natwest. We sent all the letters, LBA etc and we did the N1 form the other week. She got an offer for 2000 but she said no, her claim is over 5000. She has now got a letter from the solicitor asking for details of charges, which they already have and also they want details of the section of the act she is quoting in her N1 form. All the information they need is surely on the N1 form and the schedule of charges. Is this a delaying tactic? Should she write to them and tell them that they already have the info they need?

I got worried when halifax didnt file a defence. I rang their legal dept and they said they hadnt even got my claim yet!!!! They got it faxed throught to them and I asked them to ring me to tell me when they had filed a defence which they did. Got paid 4 days later.

Pinkglitter: After a week, I started e-mailing halifax to get them to hurry up, I then got my statements in about 4 to 5 days. Its worth bugging them!!!

I filed on the 7th nov and I got my money today (yipee). I had to chase halifax up to acknowledge though.

I am very impatient and I rang last week, sent an e-mail on monday and rang them on tues untill they finally told me that they had acknowledged my claim. Ring if it will put your mind at ease. I found them very helpful, not like normal halifax staff, lol!!!!!

From what I've read on other threads, its better to do separate claims for separate accounts or its gets confusing! If you get any spare time, ( do any of us get spare time? ) take a look through the winners threads. A lot of my ques have been answered by looking through ones that have gone the whole way and won!!! Most of the answers you want will crop up in there.

i got the number for the legal services for halifax from here. I called and gave them my claim number and they were able to check if they had my claim. They didnt so they called the court and got it faxed. I would give them a call.

Halifax told me on Tues that they have now acknowledged my claim but the court havent logged it yet as they are 9 days behind with their paperwork!!!!! Am so stressed out with this, I am sure they wont pay me! I have come out in spots coz I'm stressed and I cant eat!!!! Just want this over.

I am just as stressed as you, halifax had untill today to acknowledge so I rang them last week. they had to get the claim faxed to them coz they hadnt received it. I rang them on tues and they assured me they had filed an acknowledgement that day ( tues). I rang the court today and they haved logged it yet but they are 9 days behind with all their paperwork!!!!

well done, bet you feel great!!!! I've had to chase my claim up. It was deemed to be served on the 9th but on 17th i rang halifax and they hadnt got it yet!!!! Thay have now got it coz they got it faxed from the court so I am hoping to get my charges this week!!!!!

Just got an e-mail frrom halifax, They have now got my claim and will be in touch ( hopefully with a bit fat juicy deposit!!)

Snap, I filed mine on 7th aswell. Halifax told me they havent got the claim yet, I was worried coz they hadnt acknowledged it, so I spoke to a woman in the legal dept and she said she would get it faxed from the court and then she would acknowledge it!!! Waiting for an e-mail from them to say they have done that!

Right, have spoken to halifax and they have not recieved anything to do with my claim. Spoke to really helpfull woman who said she would ring the court and get them to fax a copy of the claim to her so she can acknoledge it, then said she would be in touch.

OMG, have you spoken to them yet!! Thats terrible, you'd think you could trust the court at least to get things right!
