  1. If someone could put the tumble dryer onto the correct settings for your mum a couple of times a week ie: 'her carer' you could buy a remote control timer plug and that way, all she would need to do is put in the washing/close the door, then turn on using the remote. This way she could use it when she needed to use it. just a thought....
  2. Hi, Can someone just clarify then if the exit/sealing fees that Martin Lewis MSE site, is been going on about over the last few weeks still ok to claim or not??? Thanks!!!
  3. Firstly let me clarify the fact that, when asking this question it never entered my thoughts of being dishonest in any way, shape or form and i'm concerned that this was your first thoughts??... I happen to have a very genuine case of a misssold PPI but with at least another several serious complexed issues to complain about with this company some of which are an extremely serious breach of the data protection act and i was merely asking how i stood with my rights towards this company. I Sincerely hope that this clarifies a few things...
  4. Hi all, I'm not certain if i'm in the right place to ask this question but i really need a speedy reply from anyone that could possibly direct me to the info i'm searching for, if possible please. My question is. I have been told that if i was to put an account into dispute, that i would not have to pay any payments to the account untill it was resolved satifactorily by both parties involved and also that they would be breaking the law if they were to put it in to default whilst its in dispute??? is this fact please? M next question is. Can they make you pay all of the missed payments up-front as soon as the dispute is resolved???.. Any help on this would be so much appreciated... Thank you so much!!! MLP...
  5. Hi, Looking at the date of this post you have probably sorted this matter out by now but you are well within your rights to complain about this, and you should first contact the PCT and explain to them what you have been charged. We must stop Dentist from conning the public out of their hard earnt cash and this sort of thing is happening all the time and more people need to complain to be able to get some action on this. I have just successfully had my old Dentist investigated with the help of the PCT and ICAS and made it a sort of landmark case for ICAS and they are now able to take case's a step further due to the breakthrough in mine. "I WON!!! Hands down" and have paved the way for others but PEOPLE NEED TO COMPLAIN MORE IF THEY ARE BEING OVERCHARGED!!! NO DIFFERENT TO BEING OVERCHARGED BY BANKS!!!
  6. They have all the recordings of every conversation you have ever made to them and vice-versa, but you must ask them for the updated forms otherwise they will use the partial info ones as a stalling tac-tic, the forms are called personal data enquiry forms-Data protection Act ok? and with that you will receive all the letters or paperwork you have sent them or they have sent you. Trust me!!! i've just got all mine and they make interesting reading and when you listen to you initial application over the phone and you are in a more relaxed state rather than when you applied for it and was only thinking of getting the loan cos of probably being slightly desperate cos lets face it ? we wouldn't go to these sharks if we wasn't, you can then hear how you was manipulated and pick-up on all the con questions, they stand out like a sore thumb, its shocking really...
  7. Have you asked them to send you the forms for your personal data? (all of your phone call recordings and all corrospondence letters) its well worth having?? it will cost you a £10 but make sure you tell them you want the new version of the forms so you can apply for all your data they hold ok...
  8. Hi, I would imagine that would be the case, if they were two sepperate accounts, both with different account numbers, but that is only my assumption and if i was you, i would ask a site helper for the correct answer to your question. If you go to the very first page of the site where there are the tenplate libraries and the FAQ's then scroll right down to the very bottom, you will see a list of all the people that are on line now ok? all the names in pink are site helpers, if you click on the one that you want, it will bring up a page to email them and ask them your question, then hopefully they will be able to help you ok?... Good luck!!! and i hope you get sorted... Tracey...
  9. Thanks!! bookworm, I was a little confused has they mentioned powergen, so thought i would ask anyway... I stand corrected... My apologies to all. MLP... How are you Bookworm? nice to hear from you again.
  10. Hiya, I think you maybe getting me mixed up with the post after mine, i never mentioned how i pay, "that is of course, if you are refereing to my post??" but forgive me if you are not, but for reference, i do pay by standing order and not DD... MLP...
  11. This is a subject close to my heart... I have been fighting powergen for the past year and a half over my fuel bills with them. I pay to them £93.00 a month for my electric and £77.00 a month for my gas, and i can assure you that i don't live in a mannsion has Jeremy surgests, i live in a four bed semi. the best of it is, thats just for heating my hot water, i have a gas fire but never have it on, it's just decorative. i have gas central heating but it only whent on twice, the whole of last year cos since having cavity wall insulation, it gets too much, and we no longer have gas cooking appliances and haven't for the past two years. we have the boiler serviced every 12 months without fail and regularly maintained. we have completed the 7 day meter reading test and they still inssist our meters are fine. So £77.00 a month is correct? just for heating up the hot water then???.. I don't think so. When i use to phone powergen and they looked at wot i was paying per month for each fuel, each different staff member i spoke with was totaly shocked at what i was paying, and joked, saying, good god mrs****** you are an high user arn't you, have you got a huge house... I'm now 7 days into my new supplier, so will have to see how this goes. Sorry for butting in but i think i know, just how you feel and we seem to be at their mercy without it seems no way of proving that their meters are faulty... MLP...
  12. Your welcome, Give me a shout if you need anymore info or get stuck. I'm still learning myself but ya never know if there is something we can share experiences on and fight together??... Oh, by-the-way, I'm Tracey...
  13. Hi, Would it be possible for one of the Mods to have a read of this please, and point me in the right direction, i have since phoned Barclays again and they are going through all of their records under our address and name, they even gave me a list of the possible debt collection agencies that they deal with and only two of them related to us, i have phoned them both and given them the account number of this debt but to no avail. I am concerned as to where i take it from here???... I have phoned the Information Commissioners Office and they are sending me a complaints form out, but what happens if no-one can come up with the info on this account??? will i have a case to claim all the money in full has there will be no record to say i owed it in the first place??? Any info or help on this one would be extremely valuable and apreciated... Thanks!!!... MLP...
  14. Hi, Just go for the kill and tell them you want to cancel, say NO to everything they offer you, "trust me" you are given a thirty day cancelation date and half way through that you will get a call saying how much they would like you to stay with them. They will then offer you two options, your sky package that you are on for half price for six months or sky plus put in for a one off payment for a year of £49.99. and i have been told that sum people have been doing it for over five years cos as soon as the sixth month is up you just phone and cancel it again and just repeat every six months, i did it 4months ago and learnt that they would rather give you it for nothing than loose you custom has there is too much compotition out there now and they need you for their ratings...
  15. I have just been given a fantastic deal with 02 and have just had my silver one delivered today...
  16. In a word!!...Er...NO!!! I just went to the doctors and told him i have a severe headache due to the CAG site. He asked Why??? I explained to him about the "folksonomy" a methodology of collaboratively generated, open ended labels... He said, i was to go home "Rest" and take two dictionaries Oraly with plenty of water...lol.lol.lol... :) ... Only kidding peeps!!!... MLP...
  17. Hi, If you call experian on 01159344050 and ask to go through to someone dealing with your experian report then give them the ref number on your report, then ask them if they have a refference for your Barclays account, which they should have. If yours is a Barclay card/store card the same as mine i can give you their address and phone number directly through to the wright department of Barclays, just give me a shout if you need any more help ok... MLP... PS, You did me a big favour this afternoon cos i had searched my house out for their address and phone number myself, and had been looking for sometime, when i recieved your email i had to get out my experian report to give you the number, and there it was on the back of that, ironic, i think. so i hope we have both done each other a favour... Take Care!!!...
  18. It comes and goes but we think it's due to some work going on in the street and putting in new drainage system on a new development just up from us but unfortunately we have a downstairs level access shower and cos it's like a wet room and the water drains away on the floor, it's like having an open stack and the smell is drawn up through it, but it's been fine in the five years that we have had it installed. Anglian water board would not admit they had anything going on in the area, but it's pretty obvious really. Thanks for your concern!!!... All of the people on this site are just simply fantastic and since joining i feel i have an extended family that i look in and check on everyday, it's a bit like the old style love thy neighbour/community spirit that seemed to have dissapeared a long time ago from all our neighbourhoods. (if only people in the street still cared a bit more ehh?) I feel highly honoured to be a part of this site and love you all... All give yourselves a Gold star, cos i think you are all little Gems...x Thanks Again Peeps!!! MLP...XXX :)
  19. Hi All, I sent my S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) in on the 30th september, half way through i sent them a reminder letter, but still nothing. Before i sent in my SAR letter i telephoned them to ask about my account with them giving them my account number and all details concerning this account, they said they would ring me back when they had located my file as she had tried to locate it whilst i was on the phone but she and someone else in the correct department came back and said they could find nothing under my address at all, not even any one under my street name, as yet no-one has rang me back and their 40 days were up yesterday so could someone on here advise me where i take it from here and what do i do if they genuinely haven't got anything on me? cos i have paid the debt up in full as it was a default and it still clearly shows on my experian report. any help would be very much apreciated... Thank you!!! MLP...
