  1. Thanks Lucid I shall just enter the date along with the rest with -175 ? Thanks again
  2. Have just finally got around to printing off my schedule of charges-£1641.50 without the 8% interest ! before i go post it registered i recieved £175.00 last year when i complained about a particular stream of bank charges that month. Should i - just put in the prelim letter at the bottom where i say that "i calculate that you have taken £1641.50 minus £175 refund last year ", or would i be highlighting a potential issue ? Whats the best way to go about it ?
  3. Have finally got around to adding up charges-overdraft excess fees, returned direct debits and unpaid cheques. Have printed off letter claiming total of 1214 which was actually 1389. Have deducted 175 as they paid me a 175 following a telephone complaint re charges last month ! i know i need to include a schedule of these charges. Should i print my own or use a spreadsheet/template from here. I have looked at a few and am not very good on the computer ! The one i downloaded worked out the 8% apr which i dont think i need to claim right now ? J ust need something really basic and i cant find it anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction please. Also the address i am sending it to is the 25 Gresham Street in London-am sure i sent my DPA request to a Birmingham address -which one should i use? Sorry so many questions :o
  4. Thanks Barty, Just waiting for card and pin to arrive and then i will ring them and sort it.Probably didn`t tick the box on application form as was still unsure about claiming.
  5. Am going to add up all the charges (looks like around 1200.00 ) and send lba today or tomorrow.Have now got another account set up.Anyone know if the Natwest step account can automatically transfer all my present direct dedits from lloyds or do i have to cancel the whole lot and set them up at new account - will take hours !!!!!!!
  6. Just rang ltsb-sending missing statements asap-have added up so far in excess of £1000.00 in charges
  7. Sent SAR to 1st credit .No luck so reported to comissioner-statements arrived shortly after.Original debt with barclaycard £1500 probably 15 years ago was taken over by first credit who have hassled us non stop for as long as i can remember. Are these debt collectors allowed to charge so much interest like the credit card company.I know i am a bit niave on these matters, but surely if they take on the debt who sets the interest. We have paid at least £5,000 to them on the original 1500 debt ? Are we entitled to claim anything back because none of the charges are from late payments or anything-just massive amount of interest >
  8. Just received SAR statements in the post. Only last 5 years though not 6. Any advice on correct way to go about having the missing year 2000 copies. Apart from that they were on time, i think, and nice letter enclosed ect.
  9. Adamski- thanks for that.I didn`t expect it to take so long ! I have £1200 od facility which is usually well used, so i will do as you suggest and jump ship.I think the thing is to stay one step ahead all the time from reading the posts. I also have a savings account with them-could they take money from that and transfer it over to cover the od if withdrawn, or are they not allowed to transfer between accounts without permission.
  10. Have spent ages reading this forum and finally sent my Data protection request letter about 10 days ago. Am almost set up with parachute account at Natwest . Am wondering if it might be better to have salaries paid into new account incase they withdraw my od facility. Anyhow, will take my time and do everything this site suggests.
  11. Hi Claudie, I will start a thread on lloyds forum now so come on over ! Let me know when you receive the statements as i have a feeling might be difficult to understand and mine will be next !
  12. Yes i received the dyson. They said they had my new address for delivery but not for sending the bill-have paid in full btw
  13. Ordered a dyson from Kays catolugue about 5 months ago. E mailed kays a month ago to say i hadn`t received a bill and was worried that i should have contacted them sooner and would now owe a whole lot at once. Had lovely e mail to confirm that had my old address on file and yes i did owe £144.00.They would send me a bill in next few fays. I then received the bill follwed by a default notice from their debt coll. agency ! Wish i had kept my mouth shut ! Waste of time talking to Kays. Any ideas anyone
  14. Basically husband got behind with barclaycard payments 19 years ago !! Was up to limit of 1500.00. Debt was taken over by 1st credit and a dd set up for £40 (may have been £60 ). We paid this for years-and i mean YEARS.Prob >10. Did my sums and figured we had paid it all back and hadn`t heard from them in years. Get default. Telephone severel times saying we are not disputing debt all we have ever asked for is a statement of payments. Have set up dd again for £40 month but they have refused point blank to give any form of statements. After reading on here decided to send SAR which i did on 29 Aug. Had e mail back asking me to confirm account no. and nil since-40 days has gone. Have a feeling i have paid these peoplein excess of £5000.00 for a 1500 debt ? What do i do now ?All i want is a statement.
  15. Sent my request for 6 years statements about 10 days ago-nice reply saying they would be with me asap. Also sent request for 1st credit 60 days ago !- nothing.
  16. Am well known around these parts. Whats the issue with confidentiality? If i win/lose ect. everything goes in our local paper ? Can i stop worrying about our nosey village ? :-?
  17. I have paid direct line all my life and never made a claim on anything until this year.I lost my engagement ring and as i had it 20 years only had pics. as proof of purchase. They have offerred me 650. 00 to replace it.Husband paid about 1000 20 years ago.Anyway i rang today because i wanted to choose a ring in Barcelona as we are there a lot and rings are cheaper. Also (didn`t tell them this bit ) i really could do with the money. They told me they take off 356.00 for a cash settlement and then i only get 50% of whats left-about 170 pounds ! So i can have a ring from one of their approved jewellers to the value of 650 quid-or a cheque for 174 ! I must admit i just thought they would send me a cheque.
  18. i have read around everything and got my initial letter requesting 6 years statements. Am going to take my time and do everything proporly (i hope ! ). However-if i send letter and lloyds withdraw my overdraft facility I`m smucked. I have a parachute account ready, but if they time it right surely salary will go in, overdraft withdrawn so salary will just cover that with not enough left to pay major bills ? Anyone ever had this happen with lloyds ?
  19. Thanks. Well years ago my husband got behind with with his credit card payments. The debt was taken over by a debt collection agency. We set up a DD for 44.00 a month to pay off the 750.00 outstanding. This carried on for years .I dont know how many, but talking 5 years plus. So i figured we had paid back over 3,000.00 of the 750.00 and cancelled the direct debit. We tried on several occassions to obtain any sort of statement but were declined every time. They slapped a default and said we still owed 350.00. We tried again to explain that we weren`t disputing anything -all we wanted was something in writing/payment record/statements ect. Again they completely refused. Now i am in the frame of mind to check all this out all i can find on my statement with my current account is a Debit of 30.14 a month to 1st credit ltd.T hey refused to send any form of paperwork what so ever, and because i was so upset about the default at the time i just agreed to make the payments. I think we must have paid 3-4,000 pounds now and original debt was with Barclaycard for 750 ! Thanks for your replyIf i can get a tel. or address i can pursue it ?
  20. Hi, Husband got behind with payments on Barclaycard. Handed over to debt collection agency about 8 or so years ago. Agreed 44 pounds a month to repay 750.00 owing. After 5 years i cancelled the DD knowing they MUST have reclaimed all the 750.00. Husband got default. They said still owed 350-now set up DD again. All we have ever asked is for a list of transactions over whole of this period. Debt collection agency refused every time. Have no paperwork, no contact details-nothing. Must have paid at least 3,000 off this apperrent 750.pound debt-any advice ????
  21. I have found a few personal e mail contacts for lloyds tsb but does anyone have the general e mail address for me to forward my request for last 6 months statements ect.
