  1. Trying to claim back charges from RBS. Have a basic Royalties account . Does anyone know what the charge for this from April 2001 until now is ? Just asked the bank but they got snotty and informed us that no cases were being decided for a year until some test case had gone through. Strange because i just recieved £4,000+ from Nat West and the cheque came from RBS litigation centre.....
  2. Hi Bloodster, struggling on what I'm supposed to put in my bundle, can you help. Thanks for address change
  3. My son has just been offered his bank charges back of £760.75 but prior to this he had his overdraft of £1500 removed and a default notice registerd because DD's to his loan had not been paid for 3 months as he was going over his Overdarft limit due to penalties. Obviously this £760.75 will not put him in credit as the overdraft facility was removed and further charges will continue to be appiled. How do we accept the offer but have an overdraft re inststed and the default notice removed. Any ideas anyone
  4. Hi topCatDC, Thanks. Yes I stumbled across this letter recently and sent it along with our request for penalty charges to be returned. And yes the calls have indeed stopped, sadly no refund to date.
  5. HSBC Default notice Can anyone asdvise me on best approach. My son has sent both preliminary letter and LBA to HSBC, but meanwhile they are constantly harassing him vis letter and phone. In this past week they have sent him a letter saying are they going to Default him and want the £1000 loan and £1500 overdraft back immeadiatly and then he got a letter from HSBC credit card wanting it returned cut up and that it was no longer available due to the way he has been running his account. His loan was not paid by the bank 3 months in a row because of the excessive penalty charges applied to his account which were forever sending him over the overdraft limit etc etc. What is the best advise anyone has? Thanks
  6. Do you think this is OK? Dear Mr. Roxburgh, I have today received my second Telemessage from you regarding late payment of my Gas bill. This latest charge arrived after I posted payment for my bill. The first Telemessage I received had a charge of £10 applied to it, which I reluctantly paid alongside my bill. This second has a £14 fee applied which I have no intention of paying. My understanding is that within the past two months British Gas had decided to abandon plans to impose this charge so why have I been charged. Also I have attached details, which say that the fee that was to be applied was £5. How then have I been charged £10 and £14 respectively? If this in fact a penalty charge that has been applied to my account then you must be able to justify it as only covering liquidated losses, if this is not the case then like all such charges it is unlawful. And I would also request a refund of the £10 I have already paid within 28 days. My second point is I would like to know how British Gas arrived at these figures for sending out an automated letter and how they increase in price when no more work is involved in sending them. I have been with British Gas my entire working life and am quite frankly appalled at measures such as these that are being introduced. As a result I shall be looking into switching my energy supplier. Yours sincerely
  7. We were charged £10 for paying last month BG bill late and this month £14 despite the fact that this charge arrived the day after I had sent the payment for our gas. i paud the first £10 but they can take me to court for the second of £14!!
  8. Hi, I'm trying to get £7,000 back from the HSBC. I'm a sole trader and therefore coming at them from a businessa angle - also I won't be able to go through the small claims court. Had the letter back telling me they don't agree with my request blah, blah - so now have no idea what to do next!!!! Any ideas anyone????
