i think in the sar request you ask for all of your banking history, i think otherwise if you get very specific it may slow if down for you - thats just my opinion - anyway it will cost them some postage if nothing else!! everything will be dated so it shouldnt be that hard to take out the 14 yrs you dont want

i am keeping an eye on this post as 10,000 is alot of money, nothing to be ashamed about you should be angry that you lost os much money and nothing else! good luck with it all!¬

me toolol, what i actually did yesterday was i had a day off so I sat here for about 5 hours and copied and pasted everything from this site that was revelant to my case into a word document, printed it off and popped it into a folder, I find it much easier to read something on paper rather than on a screen, funny how everything clicked straight away that way - also there was about 50 pages when i had done lol of case notes, guidance notes etc, my husband thought i was sad when i couldnt put it down at 10pm last night - like a good novel it was lol!!! At least though its easy reference!!
Anyways good luck - will keep an eye on your progress!

well done David!! Sounds like your wedding may be a little more stress free now you have some money behind you to add to it - isnt it amazing how much these people have taken from us over the years? and they wonder why we struggle?!!!!
Just as a matter of interest, when did the settle? I mean you said they intended to defend? Did you receive letters from them after you were informed of this?
Just trying to get the process clear in my head as i am in the early days!
Thanks and nice one again!!!

do a search for "elliot" or "mercantile" on the site and all will become clear. It all blew over before it had even started, and some courts were a bit slow on the uptake, never mind the media...
grand job, thanks for answering that for me, perhaps i will sleep better now eh? night night

You maydo, from what I've read they like to drag this bit out, but then get a bit better.
yes they could drag it out for 40 days, you can always perhaps follow up with a telephone call in a couple of weeks to remind them that you wont go away?
Good luck

yes it does take a while, spend lots of time in the library on this site, it is full of useful info, make sure you understand the process before sending out letters, from what i gather it is imperative that the process is followed to the letter so to speak good luck

I have now received statements for the last 6 years. I have identified the charges made, classed as 'Charges as Notified' on the statements. In submitting my claim do I have to list exactly what the charges relate to because this information is not ovided on my statements?
Thanks in advance.
I think if you just put a date of the charges and the amount you should be fine.
