  1. carry on as normal or you could call the number on the back of royal mail receipt, this has happened me a couple of times and its just the site hasnt been updated, also though be aware once or twice royal mail told me the letter wasnt delivered even though it was - just wasnt scanned back to centre from the delivery office where it came from....the court will deem a letter delivered 2.3 days after being sent, it doesnt need to be sent recorded delivery!

  2. hey one point - IM irish i know nothern ireland is part of Uk, ( ughhh fighting the urge to start a whole rant on why i think it shouldnt be lol!!!!!) - only joking by the way, i just know on some thread or other around here i read something about someone needing to use a friends address in mainland uk for moneyclaim purposes!

Looks like you have given them enough time, on this site it is recommended you give 14 days for each letter however as they have refused to communicate any further go ahead and file.

    Good luck

PS: Whereabouts are you from in NI? I am from Waterford.

  3. well they have to give you 30 days notice of their intention to withdraw your facilities, also they wont close your account, i know some banks have done this but i dont think lloyds are one of them, it will be at least 1.5 months until things get serious from your stage of the proceesdings, try to srt out your bank accounts and direct debits etc between now and then, and if they withdraw your overdraft facility deal with it then! Dont be scared - go for it!

  4. i think (and i strongly stress think!!) that you should use your parents address in the Uk to make things simpler, maybe someone can confirm that for us, also I would now go ahead and file as they have stated that they do not want to communicate any further. Have you given them 14 days for each letter?

  5. hi there, welcome, first of all you need to read through the faq section really thoroughly so you have a good grasp on what you need to do (and so you sound like you know what you are talking about when dealing with your bank). You need to send a pelim letter to your bank asking for a refund of charges made against you, include with this letter your schedule of charges, the letter and a useful spreadsheet can be found in the bank templated letters section in the library on this site, you dont add interest at this stage unless the interest you are claiming is that for going overdrawn due to their charges...if you need any more help or you are still confused feel free to pm me or contact me or simply post another question on your thread and someone will be able to advise you - now get reading!!!! Sharon

  6. what help do you need in particular, have you sent them lettere asking for money back and giving them 28 days in total to settle before starting to issue court proceedings? If there is something in particular you need help with just post it under this thread and i am sure people will be more than willing to help you!

  7. you should get an aq through the post which you will need to fill in, and send back to the court, gather all your paperwork now and keep it all up to date, chances are that you will get your money very soon - they always seem to indicate they wish to defend and then suddenly before the 28 days are up you will get paid!

    good luck

  8. banks cannot change accounts (ort so lloyds told me) to another branch due to sort code reasons, but of course he can always open a new one at his morel ocal branch.... as regards the 35 - what a liberty! - a pelim letter may just fix it, or perhaps a lba should.... think your letter above is a good starting point, then try the pelim and lba - at least it doesnt cost anything but a postage stamp!

  9. yup i sent mine to gresham street, whereby apparently it gets redirected to somewhere in birmingham for processing, i have a really useful number for you, that if you wanted you could try for an address to make sure your letter reaches the correct dept quicker! (probably speed it up by 3-4 days) this number is for the dept that are dealing with all requests for data protection info, you are straight through and no holding! JOY! - (lady is really nice too - how about that!) 0121 633 5411

dont want to advise you too much on your other q's as i am sure there are people here more in the know than me about it... however it may be an idea to sent a request under consumer credit act and send £1.00 stat fee with it and ask for an orginal signed copy of agreement for that loan, depending on how long ago it was there is a chance they may not be able to locate it - making the loan then invalid and meaning that technically you do not owe them any more money as there is no agreement in place! - as i say i have read on many cases on the forum of people who have discovered this fact, perhaps you may be another?

    Good luck with your claim!

    Sharon
