This may sound silly, but the other day i was on a site that apparently wants me to upgrade to a later version. my question is how do i know what version my computer has on it currently? i have no idea where to find this information so i dont even know if i have the latest one for my windows system or not. does anyone know also if theres a charge for upgrading to the latest version? although ive had this computer for a while its mainly been used for games and stuff which is why i only recently got the internet as my games are cd based and havent needed online.

ive also been advised to take any further letters for this other person direct to the solicitors to let him see them before returning the things to sender.

i havent checked but i know it should be good as i havent been in debt and still am not. the thing is the person they are looking for apparently used to live at my address over four years ago and i am a new tenant of around a year. i went to see my solicitor this afternoon and he has sent them a letter to tell them not to send any further correspondence as i am not the person they are looking for. i did manage to find a company name for that postbox through the royal mail website. i put the postcode into their search box and there is only one company listed for po box 123 at the postcode supplied with it. so they will be getting a letter from my solicitor within the next day or so - hopefully that will be the end of it but i doubt it.

Hi - im new to the site so apologies if this is in the wrong place. i was reading a thread before joining that was talking about a place with the address of po box 123 in burton on trent, but cannot find it. my problem is i am being pestered by various places that are looking for someone who dosent live at my address. i have no idea who the person is that the debt collectors are after but i am getting these letters every week for the last several months from four different companies all with po box return addresses. po box 123 is just the latest one. i keep telling them to ask the local council who owns my property and they will confirm the person does not live here but nothing works, they just pass the details around to another place who then pesters me for a while before doing the same thing. i am getting concerned because i dont want to find they turn up on my doorstep. ive even made an appointment with my solicitor to see if they can help. i was wondering if anyone knows who the company is that owns that po box address as i havent opened any of the letters due to the fact they are addressed to another person so i cannot legally open any of them. thank you for any help anyone can give on this.
