  1. Thanks westy we were about to submit the N1 form. the £10,077 was charges only no interest ( that was approx £750, not finished working all that put yet)so we are aprox£1400 down. However as we hadn't submitted the N1 i feel this is quite a break through for natwest.I had some thought that a full & final offer meant that we couldnt pursue further claims as ive already notched up about £250 in charges since sept 2006. youv'e made it all cristal clear thank you. I now know what i'm going to do
  2. Hi ive been offered all but £700 as FULL & FINAL settlement.I'm more than happy with the amount but i'm need clarification/reassurance of the ramifications bit of the full nad final bit, or as i have such a large claim would it be ok? Total claim £10.077 offered £9,293
  3. Hello i find myself in very unusual situation. i have lamented at length about the nat west being the most difficult bank. It took 4 months to get 6 yrs of statements I asked for my money back got the standard "bog off" letter (as i have seen it referred to) The 14 days expired between xmas and new year and due to this a family holiday, life, having last minute uncertainties, needing to calculate interestand not having the time, i have not yet put N1 form to the court (i was about to in the next week or so) BUT!!!!! today out of the blue an offer has arrived from nat west!!!!!!!!!! A full and final offer of course for £700 less than the total i was requesting which was £10,077. I know i should nt accept it as full& final but cant remember the implications of why(have looked on site but cant remember where i read this before). So I would like to accept this but how do i write and accept it but not as full & final offer as i have incurred many charges since i started this and dont want to jeopardise getting these back. Having a blonde moment, not helped by the unprovoked offer from what i considered to be the most difficult bank of all.
  4. Hi sent my LBa in december, expired late december so I have left it with the xmas hols etc. However now i feel i have lost my way , know i need to go thro court process feels very scary making me uncertain. I know its my money and a lot!!!!!!!!!& i want it back. Please help, is my next step the N1 form( i have one and the patricia pearls book but i seem to be putting off taking the next step). Need some reasuurance here folks Oh i also have the step by step guide from this site. Very anxious sherrattsville v Nat west
  5. Is it me or do the nat west push each and every claim to the limit????????? Trust me to have selected the meanest bank on the high street, just want my money back asap but i've a feeling it could be a lengthy wait. thank god for this site or i think my letter saying they have done nothing wrong (received today) would have put me off if i didn't have the info from this site. Keep helping folks i NEED it and you will definately get your 5%, it will have been worth every penny. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. hi Just got what i think has been termed the bog off letter from nat west. They claim they have never acted as my fiduciary and if i think they have then i need independent advice!!!!!!!!!! Also get this, "their charges arefair reasonable and transparent".They claim the office of fair trading is is talking about credit card charges only and my charges ae not for a credit card so tough! And sadly they are dissapointed that we are contemplating legal action and hope we will reconsider (i don't think so). Do we now wait the full 14 days before sending the letter before action?
  7. If you used this address did yooou have any communication previously from joyce tudor not sure which address to respond to now myself
  8. having read baracad, natwesttookmymoney and tracyno1 i think i'll go the fasttrack route. Give us a clue how i do this do i go thro normal channels and wait for the judge to fastrack me or can i go straight to fastrack?????????? does anybody know????? i suddenly have gone from feeling desponden and apprehensive to buzzing and dying to get going
  9. Hi afraid this is a personal account frightening isnt it. I will proceed with my preliminary request but can you send me info on what to read in the forum to ensure i eventually get my money? I felt quite sick when i calculated the grand total i ha no iidea i had estimated it at £3-4,000
  10. firstly sorry i keep opening new threads with the same title (i can never find my previous thread to add on to) Female and struggle with technology!!!!!!!!! My claim seems to be dragging on : 25/7 2006 sent S.A.r to nat west 16/08/2006 letter from joyce tudor saying would send out statements 20/10/2006!!! finally got statements 31/102006 ready ( ithink) to send preliminnary request I am hesitant at this stage as i have the lawpack but am still waiting for the book by patricia pearl and want to check a few things out before I go ahead. Idid read most of FAQ's but as you can see it took awhile to get statements & ive forgotten & cant find some of the answers i'm looking for E.g. my charges add up to £10,000 will i be able to go thro the small claims court with this amount, i seem to remember reading £5,000 was the max. I assume my preliminary request can go ajead anyway. ( no wonder i feel short of money having paid such a lot in charges and i havent started on the co-oop bank yet! If I can be guided to apprppriate place for info before my book arrives i would be grateful ;-)
  11. hI jUST STARTING MY SCEDULE OF CHARGES , CAN ANYONE HELP? CAN I CLAIM FOR UNARRANGED BORROWING FEES, CARD MISUSE FEES AND REFERRAL CHARGES (WHATEVER THEY ARE)?
  12. Hi thanks for the support in understanding why my statements were not being sent to me to all those who replied to me. I finally received my statements yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was after i was told they had been sent last week and when i complained they apologised and promised to re send in 7-10 days!! So ihave now highlighted al my charges but i'm not entirely sure if i can claim some things because i don't know what they are i.e referral Charge I thing it's due to going overdrawn without arrangement but need to check with the bank. must now find template on how to claim and what, not looking forward to it as it sounds a bit complicated.
  13. having graet dificulty in getting a copy of my statements from nat west. Havent got phone for joyce tudor but have written using template asking for info and written again stating i had received nothing. this just created a response apologising for the delay with SOME of my statements and that she would send soon Ha HA that was mid september still no info!!!!
  14. Hi having problems myself. Sent data prtection act template mid august have still not received any info. Nat west staff memmber stated it was because step 2 of three had not been followed within nat west system. Still struggling to get step 2 activated I've got my branch and head ofice promising the info but to date nothing has arrived. Telephone call from branch today saying they are "looking into it" and will resolve asap. But it seems she is trying to find who has not done their job in sending info out, not ultimately helpful for me i just want hte info so I can proceed with my claim. Very very very frustrating. Makes me feel like they know how much money they are set to lose and asr purposefully stalling.
  15. Hi Ihave been her before but using a different name (lots of trouble logging on so got a new password and username. Have requested copy of statements from the bank (using your tempplate), received letter stating that the charge wpild be £5 not the £10 I enclosed. The abnk requested a fresh cheque if i wished to proceed and stated they would forward the documents directly, That was on the 16 th August to date i ahve received no statements. Has this happened to anyone else? is it a genuine mistake or a time delaying tactic?
