  1. I put that in the header because I was not sure if I was entitled to any kind of rep. The company does not allow either in any circumstance, disciplinary or investigation. I do not want to start a new thread asking "How do I remove written items from my work file" with all the information being in this thread. I did not mean to sound disrespectful I did not sleep well and it has been a long and tiring day. have a very good work ethos, a brilliant work record since 1999 and it has upset me greatly.
  2. They had all the facts before the new manager said something, they had all the facts before I went into the office, they had the facts when the meeting was being conducted. I explained all the facts in the meeting yet they offered counselling and visits to the nurse. This is becoming very frustrating . I just want to clear my name and know how to do it. So what if it was not a disciplinary or just an investigation? I was not listened to. I was working very closely with another member of staff that day and all day who is gob smacked with what has happened!
  3. No I have not been dismissed. It was a planned meeting that I did not know about. A manager mentioned yesterday that he thought I looked intoxicated at work last week and so they decided to have me in the office with HR to determine what happened. I told them they knew about my impending operation, they knew how the injury effected me but instead of listening they offered support from the company nurse, counselling ect for alcohol abuse! Now this is on my file I am guessing because notes where taken. I feel they did not listen to me and will now see me in a negative light. The accident happened 7 weeks ago and my operation is in 2 weeks time because they do not want to wait any longer for me to have it done.
  4. Could they mention any of this in any references to future employers? There was no mention of a disciplinary I just need this off my file. Thank you to all who has took the time to answer me, you are truly great people
  5. I will go to the doctors to get a Statement. They are well aware of the imbalances because they have put me on light duties since until I have my operation. I went to work today and I was so paranoid that everyone knew and one point I was in tears.
  6. I was asked to go into the office. The door was locked and I was introduced to the HR personnel. Everything said was noted down, no action taken but I do not want this on my file. A few things bother me about this, the person who said I was intoxicated was a new manager so why was I not pulled to one side and questioned (they left it a week to say something). If I was having a wobble because of my injury was was I not asked if I was okay? I was not asked if I wanted someone there and I know that they do not recognise unions what-so-ever. I need advise on how to get my work file back to its original perfect state. Do I go to my doctors and get a written statement from him?
  7. I have been in this employment for just over a year and I have noticed they will not allow any union or rep into the work place. I have witnessed a few people get the sack, when, in other work places they should have been on a final warning. Now myself needs help. I have an excellent work record over the last 15 years and do not want it tarnished. I had an accident a few months ago to the head which has left me with a little imbalance. I can only like it to when you stumble over nothing and maybe happens twice a week. My work colleagues know about the accident and so do the managers. I have had a letter through for an operation to correct the damage which I told the manager about. Later that afternoon I was called into the Office with a manager and the HR Department with them saying that a new person had joined the workforce and thought that I was intoxicated at work! I explained to the management that they knew about my accident ect but they just tried to offer help with a 'drinking' problem . The HR rep was taking notes for my file and I really could not take it all in. I have a fantastic work record, great references, hardly any sick days and this has really upset me. I am totally at a loss of what to do. management are well aware of what is wrong with me and knows my operation will fix it. Any advice will be of help has they will not allow a union or any kinds of rep in. Thanks in advance
  8. Hi all and I welcome any advice please I applied for a job back in September last year. I passed the phone interview and a week later went for the personal interview and got the job. I knew there was some weekend work involved but I am a single parent and my children went to their dads every other weekend so I could work every other Saturday. After a month of working there (and knowing my personal circumstances) they put me down to work Sundays and late evenings.I have twins aged 9 and and a 15 year old boy. I told them that these shifts were no good to me and I would have to look for another job. The main manager and another lower manager had a meeting with me about the hours I could work and they agreed that I was a really good worker and they did not want to loose me and they would trial my hours for 3 months and if all worked out then that would be ok. Nothing was signed only verbal. The 20 hours that I could work are 10-5 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday 9-6. This has been working fine for 4 months. My boss said to me today that come the summer I would have to work late evenings and Sundays. This is worrying me because although I have a 15 year old they bicker and I do not like the idea of kids looking after kids. I have a childminder that works until 530 during the week nut does not work at all at the weekends. Any advice I would be grateful for Kindest regards
  9. Hi and thanks Still unsure on navigation through the forum , has I posted last week I thought the original post would be archived in some way
  10. Hi all and good evening, I will try and keep this short has I need help about a post I previously posted about. I worked for a good company for 11 years . My mother had her own business and her partner which was also her boyfriend left her and the company. She begged me to leave the company to do the administration for her so I did. 16 months later she met a new fella , moved him in within a month, made me redundant and le him do the administration work off the books. She refused to pay me my wages ect, went to a tribubial and she settled out of court. I have moved on from the hurt but recently received a bad reference from her boyfriend for me for my new employment. He stated he worked has my employer for 18 months and he signed off has director for the company. Last week I sent off for a subject access request to him and today I got a reply. He is denying everything he has said in the reference (although I have a copy of it). He states that he has never worked for the company although he signed the reference has Director (checked on companys house and he is not) . My question is has he commited fraud on this reference? He obviously does not know I have a copy of it. Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks in advance
  11. I thought a SAR was for debt only but just checked it out and I will do. All of the information breached was between the manager and me (no other employee's). I believe a case is building up here...thanks ever so much x
  12. Yes very much so then distributed the message to all my personal friends on facebook also.....I wept for days...thankfully my personal friends know I am hard working and loyal but it harmed my reputation has a business.
  13. To be honest they are both lacking in business knowledge They would not dream of looking at their responsibilities has an employer, her employer liability certificate ran out a year before I started and I pointed it out! I am not dealing with professional's that is why I need sound advice. Thanks for all input and I will keep you posted and donations will be along shortly
  14. I am assuming my mother would be held responsible for the actions of her boyfriend to the reference he gave me.....hence she will be liable....going to phone acas in the morning to clarify
  15. I cannot believe I am getting harrassed by members of my family and now this and there is nothing I can do about it I have just found this on the HMRC website Bad references If the worker thinks they’ve been given an unfair or misleading reference, they may be able to claim damages in a court. The previous employer must be able to back up the reference - eg, by supplying examples of warning letters. Workers must be able to show that: it’s misleading or inaccurate they ‘suffered a loss’ (eg a job offer was withdrawn) Workers can get legal advice - eg from Citizens Advice. They may also be able to get legal aid.
  16. I have also been harrassed by my sister on my business facebook page. She went into a essay style rant for all my customers to see! Another reason for me to look for another job! She was disaproving of my taking my mother to a tribunial for my wages
  17. Hi and thanks I ran the business for two weeks and did above and beyond whilst they was on holiday and he is saying I was under preforming ! And he also said he would under no circumstances re employ me. I never worked with the man nor did he know me so how can he ruin my career like this?
  18. Hi all and I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong place I will try to condense the information has not to ramble. I worked in an admin post that was well paid and a decent pension for 12 years. My mother had set up her own business with her partner a couple of years earlier. In 2010 her partner left her and she begged me to leave my job and work for her doing the admin has she could not do the work. In July 2011 she met another bloke, moved him in and went on holiday with him leaving me in charge to run the business for two weeks. I worked long hours but I did very well doing her work also. She came back and told me she was making me redundant in a weeks time and then she too him on to do my job! Heart broken and angry I left. How could a mother do that to her daughter? She refused to pay me my last months pay and also refused my unspent holiday pay. I took her to an employment tribunial and she ended up paying me a month before it went to court. I put the heart break behind me and set upon finding myself a new job. I applied for around 200 jobs but with no reply even with jobs I was over qualified for. I went self employed for a year has a gardener but has winter set in I did not have enough work so I began applying for jobs again. I have applied for over 100 jobs and still nothing. I took a part time waitressing job to get me and my kids by (I am a single parent) 6 weeks ago. My boss is really impressed with me but I love admin so I have still been applying for other jobs. My boss called me into the office today and said they have checked my references out and my mothers boyfriend has given me a shocking reference. I told my boss everything and she told me not to worry has I am one of the best staff there. Is there anything I can to to stop anymore bad references from him? I only met him once and I have never worked with him. I do want to further my career but he has been putting a stop to that for the last 17 months!! Please can someone help me Thanks in advance to you world wise people
  19. I will go and see my MP and yes it is Alan Meale. Better to see him than write to him had this has taken its toll on me...up again at 130am even though they are off my back!!! Have you seen this link? Should this not sent round posts about bailiffs? Not sure how to do it myslef? http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/21095
  20. I told her to phone them and enquire I was not sure of the time scale involved. If so many people complained about the same bailiff for over charging and harrassing he should be struck off!!! There should be a petition on here for all the different bailiff organisations and everyone should be able to sign it whether a member or not.....this website has a lot of horror stories and these companies should be put to reason
  21. Hi and thanks, I have made a formal complaint which I have been told will take 15 working days to answer me. Believe me if I had a bloke living with me I would have no qualms about not paying them. I have written to my MP regarding the Councils maladministration and the bailiffs so just waiting to hear back from him now. I will pay over the phone to make sure payment is made so no default made. I watched the Rossendale video on you tube and he was a disgrace. I also found some documentation online that states they where looking into revising the bailiffs code of conduct back in Feb this year. But still they will find a way to bully. I am happy that I got this bailiffs £280 quashed within a week has this same bailiff ripped someone I knew off a few years back with a £60 an hour waiting fee whilst she rallied up the money from friends and family to pay him!!!!
  22. I can manage the £5 a week and its keeps the bailiff away. Also I had my first meal tonight in a week and parked my car on the drive, I dont feel sick anymore and the kids can play out so that is worth £5 a week. If the council back dates all benefits will this void the LO has no money was owed do you know?
