  1. I think JB is concerned that the retailer can refer this to the police after all this time. Can they do that in view of the fact that they did not call them in the first place?
  2. I need assistance with an RLP issue however reading some of the posts it seems that RLP staff seem to read this site and sometimes match up cases. I am therefore reluctant to give many details. I went to CAB to-day but the lady I saw I think just made it worse. She said she knew nothing about the company and immediately phoned them. I did say not to phone them, especially as she had no idea who RLP was and what they did. She got me to go through their 'security' check etc then she started speaking to them, but i had to take the conversation over because I feared she would say the wrong thing at any minute. She then advised me to phone the store directly which I did but luckily I couldn't speak to the right department as on reflection I am not sure it is the right approach. Is there anyway I can in box a PM to any of the site team to get some initialadvice. I do not mind sharing the issue afterwards once I decide what to do.
  3. How does anyone manage to get to see the CAB? I have been trying for weeks to see someone about an RLP issue with no luck.
  4. Surely they would have asked for id and if they didn't then they should surely stop harassing you as they would never be able to prove it was you even if it were.
  5. What happens if you start sending the letters back as 'not known at this address', will they come and check to see if you are still living there?
  6. I have been reading the RLP threads with interest. Do all the people who just ignore their letters go onto their data base and does that mean that they all will encounter problems with employment? If RLP can not legally claim for money not owned (where goods have been returned in saleable condition) how can they have the right to put people'd names on a list that external agents can use? Reading some of these threads, it seems that in some cases they can not prove that the individuals intended to take the items.
  7. If RLP refers people to a debt collector and they ignore these demands then surely it affects their credit rating? I can@t see the debt collectors just walking away.
  8. If RLP do not take people to court then what happens to all the letters they send out. Do they just stop sending them?
