  1. I wasn't talking from a proof beyond reasonable doubt position. I was talking from a, determining if he has a usable defence, position.
  2. No, but I know how the monthly payment scheme works, wrt paying ahead.
  3. As in, watching/recording LIVE broadcasts, without a current licence.
  4. Oh I see. It's a stopped DD is it? I'll need some precise information, to determine if you were unlicensed at the time of the visit. 1. When did you start the DD scheme? 2. How often were you paying, weekly, monthly or quarterly? 3. When did you stop paying, and how many payments were missed? 4. When was the visit?
  5. Were you actually evading? By that, I mean were you actually watching/recording LIVE broadcasts, without a current licence?
  6. Are you actually guilty, struggling?
  7. It's only against the law, not to have a TV Licence, if you watch/record LIVE broadcasts.
  8. I wasn't aware anyone was promoting evasion? I'm certainly not.
  9. And the law permits you to not cooperate with those enforcement methods. I repeat, you cannot be imprisoned for LF evasion. They're not that bad. In fact, they 're quite amusing. If you don't need a Licence, then you can't face any punishment, can you? After all, TV Licensing would never allow anyone to be prosecuted, if they waren't actually evading, would they?
  10. Here you go. BBC TELEVISION LICENSING WITHDRAWAL OF THE IMPLIED RIGHT TO ACCESS POLICY (WOIRA) Section 4.1 covers the requirement to respect WOIRA. Section 5.1 details the methods by which WOIRA may be served on them. Section 5.4 refers to acknowledging the WOIRA. Section 6.1 states WOIRAd addresses must not be visited.
  11. It's not hearsay. It's a published statement, of their policy and procedures.
  12. You are missing snowy101's point. BBC/TVL assume that people who won't prove they aren't evading, must be evading. Based on that principle, if you won't prove you aren't a BBC Troll, then you must be one. Note that I'm not saying you are. I'm just explaining snowy101's point.
  13. You could phone it in, or email it in, or simply give it verbally to the bod who knocks at your door. TVL state they WILL send a written acknowledgement. They also state WOIRA MUSTl be respected by their staff.
  14. Or you could get the same result by (although I wouldn't advise it) issuing WOIRA.
  15. In other words snowy101, as BBC/TVL expect us to surrender our privacy, to prove our innocence, porkyp1g should surrender his privacy, to prove his innocence?
  16. In theory. As for other areas of the law.
  17. Exactly how I feel about giving information to BBC/TVL.
  18. Of course, the Communications (Television Licensing) Regulations 2004 does help us, by clarifying the definitions of "television receiver" and "television programme service".
  19. Of course, it must be read in conjunction with the Communications (Television Licensing) Regulations 2004.
  20. Thanks for that squaddie, although I'm not sure what point you are making
  21. Strangely enough, that's very nearly the title of my video. What do you reckon lads and lasses? Have we kept porky in suspense long enough?
  22. Which is why the safest advice is NEVER EVER communicate with TVL, in any way, shape, or form. A policy I apply rigorously.
