  5. Interest rate on agreement has 2 different rates shown on right hand side is 17.7% , then below heading "Total charge for Credit", rate of interest shown is 17.46% But on the secured loan statement dated March 2008 to March 2009 its 16.20% No MIF It also states regulated by the consumer credit act 1974
  6. Hi Ozzy, not sent subject access request yet (sorry), get it sent this week. This loan at moment was a top up of £17,000 in April 2008. 1st loan which was taken out April 2007, for £10,000, original payment was £398.00. We had some arrears about 2 months if ah recall, We visited our local office (now closed), to discuss our options Offered the top up of £17,000. They said not to worry about arrears plus interest added from previous loan. We questioned about loans over £25,000, but no reply was the answer Also do we add up all payments made from original loan as well as this one which would be nearly 3 years. Could afford to make payments at present of £280.00, do you think this would be enough. This Loan was taken out for 15 years. Thanks Bluebell
  7. Hi, any ideas on a reduced offer you think they would accept. Bluebell

Letter received to confirm Pay top up of £200 end of month (this week), agreed over phone, no confirmation letter Payment £420 some of this goes to arrears. Will try to get stuff scanned beg week Bluebell
  9. Sorry guys, just reading that much stuff, trying to find out as much as ah can. The forum for cattles on iii.co.uk, Shareholders, ex employees (soon to be) makes some interesting reading. Ah got the website from this forum though cant remember where abouts. Have written a long letter, (not sent it yet, want to re-read first) i.e. charges added for unanswered phone calls, to mention a few. Not very good at posting links but think Mark tried above. 10. Mark, ah was so angry, spent hours looking through this stuff, could'nt believe what was reading, made a right fool out of us all. No words can describe how ah feel about them. But cannot believe they could actually do all this, then have the temerity to complain at their plight, The worst part was when they described the interest on some loans was more than the actual payment, so the loans would never be paid, ggrrrrr am seething even thinking about it, My god ah guess they saw us all coming. How much did Mr RBS make for walking away 6million. Maybe explains how the credit crunch came about suppose. Rich getting richer an all that, on our interest payments. Glad you liked the letter though, thought it was the funniest thing, am still laughing. Will keep reading it, will help keep ma sanity.
  11. Hoped you all would like it. Still wiping the tears from laughing, the more you read it.
  12. LOL Came across the most hilarious letter ever, absolutley nothing whatsover to do with welcome or cattles but thought it might make you laugh, (made my night), the more you read it the funnier it gets. posted in the bear garden.
  13. THIS IS A COPY OF A REAL LETTER SENT TO DAVID MILLIBAND........... Rt Hon David Miliband MP Secretary of State. Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Nobel House 17 Smith Square London SW1P 3JR 16 July 2009 Dear Secretary of State, My friend, who is in farming at the moment, recently received a cheque for £3,000 from the Rural Payments Agency for not rearing pigs.. I would now like to join the "not rearing pigs" business. In your opinion, what is the best kind of farm not to rear pigs on, and which is the best breed of pigs not to rear? I want to be sure I approach this endeavour in keeping with all government policies, as dictated by the EU under the Common Agricultural Policy. I would prefer not to rear bacon pigs, but if this is not the type you want not rearing, I will just as gladly not rear porkers. Are there any advantages in not rearing rare breeds such as Saddlebacks or Gloucester Old Spots, or are there too many people already not rearing these? As I see it, the hardest part of this programme will be keeping an accurate record of how many pigs I haven't reared. Are there any Government or Local Authority courses on this? My friend is very satisfied with this business. He has been rearing pigs for forty years or so, and the best he ever made on them was £1,422 in 1968. That is - until this year, when he received a cheque for not rearing any. If I get £3,000 for not rearing 50 pigs, will I get £6,000 for not rearing 100? I plan to operate on a small scale at first, holding myself down to about 4,000 pigs not raised, which will mean about £240,000 for the first year. As I become more expert in not rearing pigs, I plan to be more ambitious, perhaps increasing to, say, 40,000 pigs not reared in my second year, for which I should expect about £2.4 million from your department. Incidentally, I wonder if I would be eligible to receive tradable carbon credits for all these pigs not producing harmful and polluting methane gases? Another point: These pigs that I plan not to rear will not eat 2,000 tonnes of cereals. I understand that you also pay farmers for not growing crops. Will I qualify for payments for not growing cereals to not feed the pigs I don't rear? I am also considering the "not milking cows" business, so please send any information you have on that too. Please could you also include the current Defra advice on set aside fields? Can this be done on an e-commerce basis with virtual fields (of which I seem to have several thousand hectares)? In view of the above you will realise that I will be totally unemployed, and will therefore qualify for unemployment benefits. I shall of course be voting for your party at the next general election.

  16. Hi Mark, sorry for taking so long to upload documents, went to library last night everything was going well, then realised did'nt have memory stick Will get back up asap. Have definately been checking out the rest of the forum, information and guidance on here is second to none, and some folks even make me laugh, (not did that for a while) with their words of wisdom and silly quips, makes your day, excellent keep it up everyone, your just what the doctor ordered. Also been checking out iii.co.uk investors forum, you probably know about this, but it makes really intersting reading, one (insider) even admitted that their were many charges applied to customer accounts, em, that should'nt have been.
  17. Hi everyone been reading this with interest, we too fell into arrears with G.E Mortgage beginning last year 2009 due to payoffs, scariest thing on earth have to say. They were not very helpful at the beginning at all, in fact one lady (ha), was positively abusive and said it was all our fault and get on with it, , they constantly phoned us, sometimes up to 3-4 times a week and on several occasions 2-3 times a day and sent letters. We sent many letters back, with no help or empathy at all, but just as we were ready to give up all hope and house, they changed their minds and offered us a payment plan, with reduced payments for 6 months, this was like heaven sent, gave us breathing space and now thankfully we have more or less caught up, just a couple hundred pounds to pay in arrears. They also stopped the £40.00 charges in Oct 2009, so guess the little guy can sometimes win, probably because of forums like this, (wish knew about you guys before, even just someone to talk too,) Anyway have quite a few previous charges and interest added, so the question is can we reclaim these, or better not to rock the boat now things are slowly going back to some kinda normality. 18. Hi Mark, yes registered last night (Wed) and hopefully will manage to get to library next couple days. Yeh was thinking that, hopefully they will offer reduced rates (very reduced rates) , wandering how that stands legally though if closing their books within 2-3 years, surely they cant get all heavy handed if the problem was caused by them. Ideal scenario, offer 3 years payments, no interest or charges, pay back roughly what was borrowed less payments made to date. marked Paid in Full, Done deal.
  19. Thanks for your help Mark, Have taken a look and will register and see if can manage it. Have taken a look through the thread, em may take longer then few times, but will keep reading it, Also been trawling the net to find out as much as can about Welcome and their goings on, rather intersting reading have to say, top directors fired and whats this about all loans to be called within 2-3 years, how will that work with secured loans any ideas.
  20. Hi Mark, not sure how to scan through to you, going up to local library today to see if they have a scanner, what do we do then, (sorry for being a bit thick). Read the agreement and it says regulated by the consumer credit act 1974, is this good or bad, Struggling to make this months full payment of £405.00 plus arrears, Will we contact them, paid £180.00 this month so far.
  21. Hi Mark unfortunately dont have a scanner, is their another way.
