  1. I sent them a letter a while back, also complaining that they had clumped the debts all together (although they are being chased by seperate DCAs just like they are doing with mine) - they completely blanked them. I am beginning to feel as if I am going to spend the rest of my natural life complaining about these people! One of the debts they produced a CCA for, and we set up a payment plan with Wescot. Two payments later and it had been passed on to someone else, and it has been to three collection agencies since. I again wrote to L-TSB and told them that I was not going to discuss a payment plan with any of the new DCAs because it wasn't my fault they kept playing musical DCAs - they have ignored that letter too. The only time they respond is to say that our signatures aren't good enough, and that they are sending the data to a L-TSB branch end of story! It is stressful trying to keep up...
  2. Have gone silent... do I poke a stick in the hornets' nest???
  3. Life in Lloyds-TSB land is getting more and more stupid. There are two alleged debts with them, and now Apex and Wescot seem to have swapped debts. I have informed them both that the alleged debts are currently SAR, Wescot wrote back saying that they had spoken to their client and SAR has to be done through L-TSB (umm, yes, that's what I wrote and told you, that the alleged debt was currently SAR via L-TSB) and now Apex have written a very angry letter saying that we are ignoring them and that they know we can pay so they are speaking to their client to ask them what they want to do next. I also sent L-TSB signed SAR paperwork using the SignGuard that you can obtain via this site, and they are refusing to acknowledge the validity because they look scanned in and not an original signature! It is so hard to keep up with things when L-TSB keep swapping DCAs and also ignore any paperwork you send them. I raised a complaint about their "musical debt collection agency" game, and the fact they use a £1 postal order meant for a CCA as a payment on the account and they have just ignored us and carried on playing games. I think my head may well explode
  4. They are still refusing to release anything without proof of who I am - grrrrrrrrrr and we have now had a letter from Apex chasing another L-TSB alleged debt!
  5. Hi everyone I signed up for Sky on Saturday and they arranged for the installation to happen between 12 and 5 on Tuesday. Tuesday came, and the engineer called before 8am and told my mum that he would be attending between 3 and 5. 5 came and went, so I called the gentleman who I had purchased the subscription from (as he had told me to do on the day, and also when he called me on Tuesday to check the installation had happened). He contacted installations and they called me at 17:55. After a lot of "faffing" about they told me that the engineer would be with me in an hour. It is now 19:15, and there is still no sign of the engineer, so I call installations myself. I have to admit that I am now so angry I am almost in tears. I tell them that I am thinking of cancelling the installation. They apologise and leave me on hold for an age while they try and contact the engineer. During this my phone keeps informing me that I have a call waiting. When they finally take me off hold it is to tell me that they cannot contact the engineer and so are asking his manager to. Too little too late for me, and I tell them that I am cancelling the installation and that I would like my £30 refunded, which I am informed that I will receive. I hang up the phone and it rings again almost immediately. When I go to answer it there is no one there. This happens again. On the third try I get the engineer. I inform him that the installation is cancelled and hang up - by now it is nearly 20:00hrs. I was really looking forward to getting Sky, but if this is the way that they treat a new customer then I am loathe to get involved with them. I want to make sure that I get my refund, but I also want to put my grievance in writing (though from a brief "google" this morning this appears to be a somewhat futile exercise). Can anyone advise me as to where I go from here? Thanks
  6. Have now sent them this (well I was sending it to L-TSB so I thought I might as well! - thanks to Harrassed Senior) I note that you have sent statements and correspondence containing sensitive private information to me at same address as that detailed in my SAR request. If you are concerned that you are corresponding with the correct person I wonder why you have not verified the information before. As you are aware, disclosing data without adequate checks of identity is contrary to the 7th principal of data protection, listed in schedule 1 of the Data Protection Act 1998. The time to confirm my identity was before you sent your first threat letter. Please now comply with your legal obligation without further delay
  7. Thanks. The post has just arrived and L-TSB have provided a form for us to sign - like that's going to happen. We can collect the documentation from a branch, so I will be going with that option... I don't let them take copies of any identification do I?
  8. Still refusing point blank until I send them a copy of my passport or driving licence :o(
  9. TBI have defaulted me on this account again! I am getting seriously confused here... please can someone help me before my head explodes...
  10. Sent them what you kindly provided, are willing to start the process but will release no information to me until I provide them with a copy of my ID...
  11. I got one of those the other day... was going to save them the bother and send them a photo of my doorstep... only I missed their deadline to respond *altogether now AHHHHHH*... decided to ignore them instead!
  12. We confirm receipt of your letter dated 05 November 2010 requesting a Subject Access Request (SAR) pursuant to Section 7 (1) of the Data Protection Act 1998. Before we can reply, please resubmit your request with the following information: Proof of Identification - (Copy of driving licence or passport) Further information - legible signature on SAR request letter Once we receive the above information we will respond to your request within the guide lines of 40 days. If we do not receive a reply within 30 days from the date of this letter the file will be closed and your Postal Order for £10.00 will be returned. Should you require any further information, please contact our Customer Services Department on 0870 010 0453, who will be happy to assist. I read your post dx, what should be my response besides thanks
  13. I sent the SAR to HFC, they have refused to process it unless I send them a copy of my driving licence or passport and an uncrossed copy of my signature... TBI wrote to say that they were asking for a statement from HFC... HELP (please!!!)
  14. As you can imagine... I rushed to contact them... not! Just about to take a photo of my doorstep and mail it to iQor to save them coming out and collecting it personally... oops, the deadline's passed, my bad! Anyone who has been following the exploits of my mum and her game of "Musical Debt Collection Agencies" via Lloyds TSB will know that we have already had dealings with Wescot before the music started again and the debt moved on the the next hapless idiot. On Friday we got a letter from them at our new address, dated the 18th January and saying the following: Important: Address Verification We are attempting to contact XXX and have been provided with this address. If you are the person names above, please call us urgently on 0844 XXX XXXX or contact us on the above address quoting the Wescot reference number. You should also contact us if you believe the information we have is incorrect (this made me laugh as the letter is in an envelope bearing the missive "to be opened by addressee only") so that we may update our records accordingly and stop further correspondence on this matter being sent to your address. If we do not hear from you by 25/01/2011 we will assume the contact information we hold for XXX is correct. We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. £$£$£$£ We have been using our old address and having the mail forwarded. I want to ignore this letter because we have a SAR in place with Lloyds TSB that they have so far ignored, as well as a complaint about them moving the debt from Wescot when we had made a payment agreement with them and then expecting us to make a new agreement with the next hapless idiot (there have been three so far and we have told them all to "foxtrot oscar" their way back to Lloyds TSB) which they have also ignored; and a complaint about them using the CCA £1 as a payment - they've ignored that too! Mum is worried about them turning up on the doorstep - what should be the next course of action? Thanks for your help
  15. 2010-08 (Aug).zip Hi, sorry it has taken me a while to do this, family drama involving 97 year old Grandfather I have attached the documents... hope they are ok... and I have SAR HFC and told TBI that I dispute the amount. Thanks again for your help Mo
  16. Enlarging (on the screen) the copy I have that I initially blacked out I can see that it is the items I bought and their prices - not clear enough for me to reproduce here so I will have to look at it at home but... Sorry
  17. Hi I cannot scan it in any better than I have. The work scanner and the one on the home PC do this and nowt more... I will have to look at the agreement when I get home to remember what was in the top box... head is in the shed right now... Thank you for all your help, this is really is a weight off my mind... and I will write to TBI telling them I dispute the amount owing Mo x
  18. Hi DX, so what is my next step... besides SAR to HFC - meant to do it yesterday but got invaded by directors from Head Office! Do I need to write anything to TBI - I guess I have to send something today so that it gets there on the 8th or else they might come round and stamp on all my toys! Thanks
  19. Right... are we sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin... It appears that up until January 02 inclusive I was paying HFC £32.72 on or around the 26th of the month. The debt then got passed to Lewis. I paid - £24 in 2005 (£2 a month) £42 in 2006 (£2 going up to £5 a month) £60 in 2007 (£5 a month) £60 in 2008 (£5 a month) Unsure in 2009 - I have receipts for £25 - was made redundant in March '09 and cannot recall what I paid when... have also moved since then... Statement received from TBI dated 25th October 2010 Customer Account No: xxxxxxxx Assignor: HFC7 Bank Limited Statement Period ("the Period"): 01/10/2009 - 30/09/2010 Annual Interest Rate for the Period: 0.00% Balance owing on the first day of the Period: £631.80 Balance owing on the last day of the Period: £601.80 Payments, Interest or Charges payable during this Period: Debit Amount £ Credit Amount £ Date 0.00 5.00 Oct 2009 0.00 5.00 Nov 2009 0.00 5.00 Dec 2009 0.00 5.00 Jan 2010 0.00 15.00 Apr 2010 5.00 0.00 Jull 2010 *** The £32.72 information comes from a printout sent to me by L-TSB - it states returned DD from Feb 02 onwards until they closed the account. The amounts paid to Lewis are as accurate as possible. Sorry but that is all the information I have... I hope it is of some use... and thank you for helping Mo
  20. Hi and thanks again I have only ever received one statement in regards to this account, and that was from TBI (and is mentioned above). It is at home so I shall scan it in and post it tonight. Before the account was with TBI it was with Lewis - they never sent anything except payment slips and calls to my mobile every twenty minutes until gone ten at night if I missed a payment. I do have the stubs from paying them, so I can roughly work out what I have paid... what came out of my then bank account is anyone's guess! Thank you once again - I feel calmer today than I have for over a week and my headache is going!
  21. Thank you so much for responding to the neurotic one:wink: Last payment was April 2010... sadly... Can I check with you to make sure I am understanding something in all my confusion: 1) I need to SAR HFC 2) Once I get a response I need to reclaim the PPI (how?) 3) I ignore TBI completely I guess I am panicking because they keep mentioning the word court... I don't want to do nothing and then end up before a judge... and I am confused because I don't know if the agreement is enforceable or not... Thanks again
