Hi Postggj Nice to see you are staying strong. Your posting gave me a good laugh - the bit about Atos stating you're exaggerating etc etc! It is almost exactly what they said about me, then after their falsified pack of lies medical report (Which they have admitted to) I was diagnosed by "proper" doctors (consultants etc) that I needed further operations and also I had further problems - with prolapsed vertebrae and impinged nerves in neck which are causing even more problems. Hi Ruby and all I have posted on the legal thread re "GG's" litigation, hope he "stuffs them! Ruby re your tribunal appeal, I think you will win as you have good case and evidence. Tribunals tend to be far more objective than Atos/DWP etc. In addition, as I have said before and on the other thread, there was a BBC documentary in 2006 about falsified medical reports which removed valid claimants from benefit. Has anyone any info re litigation that followed, as there was very clear evidence that the reports had been deliberately falsified. Hi Kelcou, gg, Ruby et al Kelcou, you say ATOS don't understand. With respect to all, will everyone please understand, that, ATOS DO UNDERSTAND! THEY ARE NOT THICK!! The reason why they are passing so many people as fit for work, when clearly those many people are NOT fit for work (Although I suppose everyone IS fit for work! BUT for how many hours, days etc before they collapse or are in excruciating agony) is NOT BECAUSE THEY DONT UNDERSTAND! It is because it is ATOS'S mission to get as many people as possible off benefits, by hook or by "crook"! (Nice double' entandre' re "crook":D). As I have said elsewhere, if we had only a head, with no limbs or torso, ATOS would say we are fit to work as a bowling ball in a ten pin bowling alley!!! Re the litigation, has anyone found any info re cases being taken further after the BBC documentary in 2006 which showed medical reports being falsified, resulting in claimants being taken off benefit. Haw many of us have been on "Long Term" IB? The reason I ask is that I'm wondering if Atos/DWP are trying in the main to get long term benefit claimants off, whilst at the same time allowing new ones to come on, knowing that this alone will save many millions and be a feather in their cap. Also if you are a new claimant you will be possibly easier to remove at a later date. Long term claimants with genuine disabilities will be well versed in the "ways" of Atos/DWP and also harder to successfully remove because of the well documented injuries/disabilities etc. In addition, I am asking for a little bit of help. Can we all do a little bit of research and try to find as many cases as possible that have gone to litigation because of the proven falsification of records/reports. I believe that eventually if successful cases are brought against Atos then this will help to prevent this again! Coogaah

I requested info from Atos in Leeds, they told me to make a formal application, which I did, but not on this occasion, a subject access under the Data Protection Act (Which I have done successfully on many occasions in the past with other organisations). Atos ignored my "formal" request (that they had told me to make!). I contacted again and embarrassed, they said my request had now been passed to Preston. I received the information (Some information) a short time later. I dont know of any organisation that doesn't keep info of cases! (In one form or another). Re Atos doctors, I had a genuine, 100%, bona fide, registered Dr ("quack"), BUT he still falsified his report, to the tune of 23 inaccuracies (They are not errors!). Hi Patrick and All again Further to my recent posting... Patrick you say that in France Atos directors are liable to be imprisoned for acts similar to those that they perpetrate here. If this is so, then as members of the European Union do we not have rights similar to that of France. Is it not a breach of our human rights (Not that we have many, or any, in this most corrupt of countries) for the falsification of reports. To falsify a medical report is to create a false instrument and is a prosecutable offence. Coogaah

Ruby Tuesday and All Atos/Med Services state the examining officer is giving a broad overview of your physical and psychological state and doesn't have to be specifically qualified in any given field. It's bullsh*t but it works, for now, for them. I have in the past asked for subject access under the data protection act, but I haven't heard about "audit", until recently, can anyone expand on this aspect of requesting information? What extras will it give? How to word the request and who to put the request to? In addition, has anyone got any information on cases brought against Atos in any countries , particularly in this country? Coogaah

I did some investigating into Atos. It was originally an American company that amalgamated with another. Philips did buy into it, but I understand Philips rid themselves of their shares in it, but perhaps I've got that wrong? I believe it is now a French owned company. I have contacted tenuous leads in the states but they don't have info on Atos. I have been through similar probs as previous "posters" I made a complaint to Atos about the falsified med report by their doctor (corrupto quack) and the complaint was upheld! Amazing!! I also made a complaint to DWP and they admitted wrong doing! Double amazing!! But trying to take it beyond this is difficult and I'm trying to find if there are any records of successful cases having been already taken. I'm certain there must be some!
