  1. Thank you cerberusalert, I shall open a parachute account and continue to pay the 25 pounds to Barclaycard and 25 pounds to Barclays. Strange really as I am in my agreed overdraft so they are taking their own money. If they continue to take money what can I do? I'd need to pay 1000 pounds into my account in order to close it completely because of the overdraft. I appreciate your help, especially on a Sunday
  2. Thanks for all the advice on here, I wrote to Barclaycard with the letter and a statement of my income and expenditure recorded delivery but they ignored my letter and re-instated my direct debit from my Barclays Bank account. If they continue to take the full monthly payment there won't be any money for food or rent but I don't know how I can stop them from doing this. Please help? I offered to pay 25 per month and to review this amount in 6 months time.
  3. has anyone seen this Information request form it's a data subject information request form provided by EGG, they ask or a signature, from what I've read anyone using this form DO NOT SIGN! Is it EGG pretending to be helpful and really getting your signature? Just a thought...anyone else got a view?
  4. Oh one quetion and obvious to most... If I have sent a Subject Access Request (SAR) do I also need to send a CCA or will the SAR contain the same info? Thank you
  5. Hey Smileylady1981, how's it going? I finally sent my letters off, unsigned and £10 for the Subject Access Request, as I'm not quite sure of the process I figured it would be best to get the full lot! I have had 2 replies from 5 so far. One was asking for my passport or drivers licence for security...immediately dodgy as I'm guessing they want a copy of my signature so not sure what to do there. And Egg have responded to say they will send me the information requested when my next payment goes through! The cheek, I'm sure they can't legally do that as I have never defaulted on a payment with them before and it means I have to wait another 24 days as my last payment has just gone through! Anyway at least the ball is rolling...and if anyone has any advice on 'proof of identity requested' or 'you can wait for your SAR information' then please do let me know. Plus if anyone needs any 'getting started' tips I am now in a place to offer them, only at the very beginning though!
  6. Hi Smileylady1981, I think we're in the same boat! I was approached by an agency who said that they would look at my agreement with Virgin and see if the credit agreement was unenforceable - they offered to do this for a few hundred pounds. I then came on here and have read that I should ignore the agencies and do it myself. Like you I think the best place to start is with the original agreement, I believe template N, although I could do with reassuring because the agency that approached me said that the whole process was based on potentially incorrect interest calculations...and I'm not sure how I will work this out from the agreement as I don't have the last 3/4 years worth of statements. So if anyone could advise myself and smileylady1981, I'd be very grateful?!
