The help I got from the guardian angels worked !!!!!!

just got a letter from Alliance & Leicester insurance to say they are making a payment of £1082.20 to Alliance & Leicester credit card for the period 19/05/08 to 15/09/08.

    I've also received this http://i399.photobucket.com/albums/pp79/EMMAROYD1/scan05001.jpg

sent them a letter which smt37 kindly posted on my other thread yesterday by recorded delivery in reply to a similar letter I got last week.

Now i'm not sure where to go from here seeing as they are paying out on the insurance. Do I still go up the CCA route or is it now time to SAR them? Over the last four months they have slapped me with loads of charges and default notices. Would it be a good idea to check my credit report?

I suppose what i'm really asking is can I get them to remove all the crap they've slapped on me since May 19th whilst this insurance claim was pending?

any advice would be much appreciated

    thanks

  2. Thanks Multay and smt37

Smt37 thanks for the draft letter on Cap One thead. Think i'll send it to A & L for good measure. Had a couple of phone messages off them in the last few days asking me to ring them.

BTW - Were you told that you needed the PPI to get the card?

To be honest I can't remember I've had this card at least ten years. I looked through all A & L paperwork I have the other day looking for T & C's regarding the PPI and all I can find for that are recent ones.

I've emailed my MP as advised on another thread regarding PPI's not paying out amongst other things and i've had reply back from his secretary saying he'll be in touch shortly. Should I mention this in my letter back to A & L ?

    cheers

  3. thanks for the replies guys and to smt37 for the letter template. I'll be sending that tomorrow.

In the meantime, Cap One have now passed me over to Frederick International. No notification...found a number on caller display the other day, googled it and found it to be them...3 more calls last night and today and this time leaving me messages....

'This is an important message from Frederick International regarding a personal business matter. Please can you contact us on 08453133997 at your earliest convenience.'

I also received this letter from them this morning

    http://i399.photobucket.com/albums/pp79/EMMAROYD1/scan89001.jpg

Cant believe they've got their own version of worldpay

Do I ignore Frederick International or send them a letter saying the account is in dispute and refer them back to Capital One?

    cheers

PS Should I mention to Capital One that i've been in touch with my MP over their unfair treatment whilst ppi claims pending and complaining about the insurance companies. I've had 3 replies back from his secretary and she says he'll be in touch shortly :-D

  4. Had an email back from my MPs secretary a couple of hours after I sent the email. She asked for my address and my national insurance number . She said she needed to check that I was one of MPs constituents.

Sent back email with my address and asking why they needed my national insurance number. She replied saying she needed it to check my position with tax credits. I'd mentioned in email that they'd been stopped few weeks ago but i'd got no backpay.

I find it a bit scary that they can use my national insurance number though but I suppose if she gets me back payment I shouldn't complain.

Anyway she said MP will be in touch with me shortly

ok guys wasn't sure the CCA was enforceable or not so thought i'd send them a non compliance letter on the off chance. If anyone has the time could you please have another look for me in post #1

Anyway this is the letter I received in response. It was dated the 8th so i'm leaving it late as they say I have until the 18th which is tomorrow.

    http://i399.photobucket.com/albums/pp79/EMMAROYD1/scan44001.jpg

and this one in response to my letter saying that the had not complied with my CCA request by not sending me a true copy

    http://i399.photobucket.com/albums/pp79/EMMAROYD1/scan440003.jpg

Can anyone help with replies please

  7. thanks you once again 42man

I've already CCA'd credit card companies. Co-op have paid the £1 onto my account and not send me anything so i've written back complaining. Had CCA's back from Cap one and A & L to which i've written back and said they are not true copies.

PS i've tried to tip your scales and it wont let me. Says i've got to spread myself around. HA HA how rude!! I'm not that kinda girl xx

  8. had an appointment this afternoon with my lone parent advisor. Told her what was going on with the insurance companies. She was brilliant...got another appointment on thursday and i've got to take all me stuff to show her and shes going to help.

And as if I havn't got enough to deal with...i've just found out my landlords been skanking me for four months :-x hes been making me sign over the cheque for my housing allowance over to him AND asking for arrears. Hes going to be in BIG trouble :D. Lone parent advisor rang council and made me go straight down and report him. At least somethings going right for a change.

  9. thanks for the replies. Been out this afternoon and got back to find 3 phone calls from Co-op so could be them or then again not heard anything from Alliance & Leicester for a few days.

Have CCA'd them both. Co-op have sent nothing and paid the £1 postal order into my account and i've written back to A & L saying account in dispute because its not a true copy.

Am I right in thinking that whichever one has passed me over to Fredrickson are wrong but both accounts are in dispute?

    thanks
