Is the DN in the proper format & does it give you a clear 14 days to remedy from the date of service and specify a remedy date?

I'm filing it next to one of the first ones I got from Alliance & Leicester which says 'Let us help you to repay the money that you have spent'

'Valid if not read by you'. Load of old tosh. They need to make sure that the letter sent is actually read by the debtor.

I've been having letters from them for a few weeks now. Just keep ignoring them. I CCA'd MBNA and I have a nice letter saying they don't have one

I've been a member of CAG for little over a year now and i've read about 'valid even if not read by you' loads of times....Well today, i've received my very own letter

begged for help when I was made redundant last year. Nothing but harrassment from them despite them sending me a letter saying they have no CCA. They've somehow managed to get hold of my mobile number and they also ring my old employers up. I've just received a default notice from them x

just had the letter from my MP enclosing the letter from Equita.

It says:

Dear Mr MP

Re: Emma Royd...........

I refer to your recent comminication and confirm your client's (wrong use of apostrophe ) outstanding balance on reference ******** has been fully discharged.

I've still not heard from Equita but at least I have the letter to show the bailiff if he should happen to show up again.

Funny you should say that I rang my MP on tuesday morning and in Tuesdays edition of our local paper he was Front page news regarding expenses. Oh well he got the job done

had a phone call from my MP about an hour ago asking if i'd heard anything from Equita. I've not heard a word from them. He told me that he'd had a letter from them saying the debt had been discharged (as far as i'm concerned there was no debt unless they mean the original council tax). But hey that's good news right ? :D

He's sending me a copy of the letter he's received so I should get that in the morning. I'm still wary over my car until I have a copy of the letter or got one of my own. My postman has already been and i've got no mail at all today. He also said any more problems with Equita to let him know straight away.

I had a visit from one of their cronies last summer. Said he was calling on behalf of Cap one...Politely told him to get lost and i've not heard nothing from Power 2 contact OR Cap one since

I have a current account and a loan with A&L and on the online banking website it says 'part of Santander' along with Bradford and Bingley and Abbey.

I have (well did have lol) an A&L credit card but this was taken over at some point by MBNA. For the last year it's been MBNA that are chasing me for payment although i'm getting letters from them and A&L in Chester along with the odd DCA.

I also have (did have) a co-op credit card but i've never ever seen MBNA mentioned on any correspondance x

are they really allowed to phone you at work!! I guess all and sundry will soon find out about my financial situation when work secretaries take their calls soon then.

I had one of these about a month ago. I've been in turmoil knowing what to do about it

. I rang A & L last May and told them I was redundant and that I had to cancel direct debit on my loan due to going on benefits. Filed ppi claim and to this day i've not heard a word No harrassment, no ppi payments, nothing. I've ignored the letter because I don't want to rock the boat x
