:mad Anyone have any advise? I took delivery of a leather 3 piece suite in June costing £2900, 4 months on I complained as there is lots of problems I was told to wipe once a week with a damp cloth but all the dye is coming off this is dark brown and and has now gone pinky patchy also other problems the cushions have sunk and there is a lump on one chair and the leather is saggy in parts. Two managers came out and are refusing to do anything about it saying now I should not have wiped down with a damp cloth but this was the instructions given he said although I wrote a letter as far as they are concerned this is not a fault and will not do anything about it It even says on the receipt wipe down once a week I would appreiate any advise?

Hi Cat Just to make you feel better they settled mine about 2 weeks before the prem date, I sent a letter to D&G stating if they didn"t settle straight away it would have to go to court as I was on holiday for the 2 weeks before the prem date, I don't know if it helped but they did settle. I also sent them a copy of a special directions letter which I sent to the court and asked which person to address my court bundle to (which I hadn't done) I think at this stage if your on top of your nudge letters a little more pushing wouldn't hurt Good luck Sharon

Hija Cat keep going wont be long now, nice to see you got your date!

Good, glad you have your new account open and running, it appears they are giving you a real hard time, so see if you can complain! I read somewhere every time a complaint is made to the ombudsman it costs them £300! Wont be long now Cat, you will soon get your money!

Hi Cat, I think I read somewhere if you issue court proceddings then the FO cant investigate If I were you give it a try, have you looked at the complaints on banks page? I think thats where I read about this, You are better off carrying on with your court proceddings, have you another bank account open ready? If so just wait for them to make your offer, then forget about them!

well done, spend wisely!!!!!!

Wow you have been busy, I wonder if you will actually need the bundle? This could be a new way forward if it works by sending a copy into D&G now, has anyone else tryed this yet?

HI thanks all, suprise suprise a letter from HSBC this morning "we have instructions from our legal firm in Birmingham to pay you" with a HSBC cheque for the difference! I wonder if they removed the difference from the other accounts, I shall have to check, perhaps they will let me keep it;) -
Hi Celciman, You have the exact direction hearing I was scheduled for 28 June, if it makes you feel better they settled mine last week (about 2 weeks before court date, but I had some errors in my claim so I think they needed time to point out the errors, if there are no errors I feel that is when they are leaving claims until the last minute knowing they are going to have to pay the lot. Have you sent a draft order to the court and included a copy in a nudge letter to D&G?

Thanks, have e=mailed and 1 phone call to R Tomlinson(answer phone) she was the one that made the offer will keep on, surely they wont want me to take this to court! as far as I am concerned I have not received the offer they agreed to. -
Sorry freaky we posted same time!

Hi, I think that sounds correct, as that is what mine said, I may be wrong but going by mine they still have 28 days to submit their defence, you will then receive a copy of their defence from the court and then you wait for the court to decide next step, if anyone thinks different please say

Wont be long now if they were going on the draft order should get your offer next week if they are going on court dates still wont be long, if they think there is any mistakes in your schedule they will send you a early offer anyway or, otherwise they will not have time for offers they will have to pay you full amount so either way wont be long!
