I was in touch with Debt Free Direct and it was them who suggested the IVA, never got a reason from Capital One why they didn't accept, they, as I said ignored all my letters and kept sending their own which were the same thing over and over again. I too owe Capital One money I tried for 6 months to arrange an IVA with them whilst still paying £30 a month off a £1300 debt, they ignored me. They've sold the debt to NCO and I've received their first letter threathening bailiffs, taking money from my salary etc etc. First phone call this morning, I don't know their number as I couldn't make it out in the message they left. I want to pay this debt, I wrote and made an offer and asked that interest be frozen, from what I read here they will not accept this. What do I do, I want to off this debt but if they refuse and interest is added what difference are my payments going to make to the overall debt. Can someone please advise me I will willingly pay £30 a month if it makes a dent in the debt, otherwise there's no point, is there. Any advice greatly received.

Just read your message, I do owe Capital One money and I have trying to arrange an IVA with them for 6 months now, they ignored my letters. My debt has now been sold to NCO, hence reason I'm here, I want to pay this debt and have written to them offering to pay a certain amount every month and if they would freeze interest. Already the phone calls have started, I don't know their number as I can't make out the voice on the phone. What do people like me do? I want to pay the debt off monthly but won't be allowed to do so. If I pay a bit every month, it will make no difference as interest will be higher than my payments, I'm at my wits end as judging from all the comments I've read they will continue to harrass me. They have stated in their letter that they will start legal proceedings, also that a bailiff will seize my assets (I don't have any!!) and they will issue an attachment of earnings. Can you help me?

Hi I sent the 3rd letter to the Coop saying I would be taking this to Court etc. received a letter from them this morning saying they will investigate and take 4 weeks, I rang them and they insisted they were within their rights to take 8 weeks and were not very nice about it. Do I wait for them or do I go ahead, though they said that they were within their rights?? Can anyone help me? Thanks

Hi I've just joined this site and have now been waiting 4 weeks for a total figure from the Coop. I sent the letter to Delf House, Level 2, can you tell me if thats the address you used and how long it took for you to get the charges back from them. So far they are ignoring me, cheers Angel04
