  1. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/ppi/61081-ppi-some-notes-claimants.html have a look here Suzy. One admission they have made is that as you were part time you would not have been covered anyway. Why were you sold a joint policy then? The FOS can investigate this. If it were me then I would not hesitate in making a formal complaint to FOS.
  2. trouble is trouble, not saying we should not have rules, just take a deep breath. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thats better
  3. Hi jansus, I dont know the full story yet. I am awaiting the reply to the sar, once I have that I will be better informed. The house was sold for 165k when an offer of 185k had been rejected by the building society. The average of 3 valuations I had done was 235k. I have spoken at length with tide and he is an immense help. I will now be going for a claim for selling below market value and also damages, I think my claim might even be more than tides but we shall see. benefits paid me dole money that was all. I dont know about penalties as my head was upside down, the sar will disclose that
  4. thought we were all adults here alan, not taking umbridge at all but at end of the day we have to be 18+ to enter into agreements with banks etc. Bit of leeway wouldn't go amiss bro as emotions are running high.
  5. nothing to cross, go for it, now you know where you stand, welcome to CAG, defenders of the free lol
  6. Hi Lesley, send them a CCA request, asking for copy of your agreement. Enclose a pound postal order. http://www.passprotect.studio400 .me.uk/Consumer_Credit_Act_1974. PDF The whole act is here. They have 12 days in which to respond, if they fail to respond after a further 30 days they will have committed a criminal offence. The debt is unenforceable until they produce the original agreement. See this thread http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general-debt/83035-guidelines-requests-original-agreement.html Hope this helps and good luck.
  7. I don't think you will need luck, just go for it, as you can see we don't share the lurv with mr carter.
  8. I cannot believe they are still at it. Tangle, read the whole thread please and you will see how we have dealt with them. There are also other threads in the debt section.
  9. better one is chow li low mao, run after u said it
  10. I certainly will photoman, once it gets going, as magnus used to say I have started so I will finish, wish i had the swear words in Icelandic or even Finnish! Just be aware these claims are not the same as claiming bank charges.
  11. Thanks DS. I honestly had no idea I had been wronged, I thought, well they know what they are doing, long story but I was in the depths of grief at the time and could not work, not due to the house but due to loss of my whole family as some of you know. Anyway, now I have a new life and a new outlook, I will never again let any financial institution treat me the same way again. I will fight this until my last breath. They Fcuked with the wrong man. Sorry if this is breach of forum rules mods but the more i think about what they have done the more it riles me. They had an offer of 185k on the property and rejected it!!!!!! Only to then sell it for 165k now I think they have not only acted unlawfully with their charges I also think they may have acted illegally in deliberately selling at a lower price than the max offer they had. I think they sold to an "interested" party. Only a full S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) will enlighten me. My claim will be for at least £109,000 inc interest this will exclude all charges and interest on those.
  12. Hiya Tide, I fully concur with you mate. Am still waiting on S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) back from the building society. To date my loss on a 56k mortgage, sold for 165k by an estate agent and valued at 235k, I received £3500 as my "SHARE", thx mr building society, I am coming, I am hunting, I am riled, I will get you, how does the hunter feel when it becomes the prey! There comes a point in all our lives when we have to stand up and be counted, the banks and the building societies do not have the gonads to do this. Do I care? No I do not, I will treat them with the same contempt they treated me with when they took the last thing I had left, my home! iF IT WAS NOT FOR cag, I WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN I HAD BEEN WRONGED. I will actually enjoy it when my LBA hits them for £70k+8% over 8 years for selling under the market value plus all their charges for same period. I will not be using CAG for this as it is very different to bank charges, I will use a specialist solicitor and no doubt councils advice will be required.
  13. You havent answered me bud, why was the warranty a condition of the finance? How was the warranty sold to you? This is important as this could be classed as mis-representation.
  14. Jesus wept! What do you mean you had no choice with it, it's an add on, you do not have to accept add ons at all. How old was the car when you bought it, make and model etc.
  15. If there is a cost for the warranty, then this would be added to the total cost in the agreement. Did you agree to pay for the warranty in the first place?
  16. I won't give the names of the sub prime funders that they were using but I would not propose anyone to these companies for finance. It would not have sat right with me to work for for this company and known I had to put proposals to these cowboys that prey on the poorest in society. So next time we see on here the "oh they are just doing their jobs" ie bank staff etc, I say that's crap, we all have choices and I choose not to let any job dictate values and morals to me. There are a couple of decent sub-prime funders out there, again I won't give the names all I can suggest is that anyone who is looking for finance carefully researches the funder before signing any agreement. Also be very very clear on the type of agreement you are signing, what the total charge for interest is and the APR or flat rate. If it's a vehicle then there is no need at all to be paying 7-8% flat rate, garages will just be stinging you.
  17. They offered the job meagain. Some of us that do work in finance have morals and are ethical.
  18. Nope meagain, THEY AGREED as I put it to them, if you put a customer with a crap finance company can you expect repeat business!
  19. Pahhh suffering, I wouldn't know what that was, am loaded, that's why am here!
  20. If you need your own thread enaid then get one matey, Old system was unworkable.
  21. Let us get this one straight. We have never had free banking. There has been stealth charges with current account since time immortal. Look at the interest you gain on a current acct compared to a savings acct or ISA. THEIR charges for so called free banking have always been there whether they were creaky old door bankers or modern woooosh door bankers. At the end of the day they are bankers, no pun intended so stop smiling lol. The hard reality is that we live in a sales driven society, from bacon on the shelves to owning houses and vehicles. I have worked in finance for what seems like a lifetime in the vehicle industry, I REFUSE TO SELL PPI AND GAP. I believe in treating people as people and not some endless stream of money to fill the pockets of the Finance Houses. I do not and will not offer sub-prime finance to anyone as this is just another way of ripping them off. I went for an interview today for a new job, I asked who did they use for sub-prime finance and when I was told who, I said sorry if this is how you do business then I could not work for you on moralistic grounds. They dug at me asking who i would use then and I said only one company and if this company was not allowed by them for finance then I would say goodbye and thankyou. THEY AGREED.
  22. I thought your name said spitgirl and had to re-read it, thought hmmm what use is a woman like that lol
  23. absolutely class greedy, made me smile, cheers mate, btw I am using, hung hos whorehouse volume six (the big girls) ruling as the basis of my claim. Me love u long time u banker!
  24. 1999 TWO CHILDREN AND ONE PARTNER DIED IN A FIRE. I was away working. Could not work, charges etc on mortgage and interest. Could not pay. House taken and sold for 70k less than the average of 3 valuations I had done. Am I in a fighting mood, put it this way I have been raped financially, lost my home as if it's not bad enough losing your familing. These people care nothing about customers all they care about is PROFIT. I aint no sob story, I have managed to rebuild, but not with the help of any fair treatment from the financial lot, they can all go see it on the other side, i WILL NEVER GIVE UP AGAINST THEM NOW, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS TO BRENNANS CASE.
