  2. thank you for your interesting reply. I will keep you posted, BTW the answer is yes to all three, Woodwa5;)
  3. I am seriously concidering going for HFC for mis-selling a PPI. The PPI was for £900 and I was never told it was optional. What's more it would never have done me any good anyway because i am a police officer and as such can't be made redundant and if i became sick they would still pay me. Do these sound good grounds? Woodwa5:D
  4. well done steve, great thread, Woodwa5:D
  5. Well I have had a look around and found most of my statements. I will still pursue the S.A.R but I have fired off a prelim based on the statements I have with some arguments from Steven4064 with regards to charges more than 6 years old. Can I add any new charges from statements i receive to this when they arrive, Woodwa5:)
  6. That sounds like a plan....i think i'll do the same. Thanks for your reply, Woodwa5;)
  7. does that mean that my current s.a.r and claim for my ms card is no longer with goldfish but with barclaycard?
  8. I am absolutely fuming!!!!!!!!!!! I sent these idiots an SAR on the 25th January. I received a letter from them today (2 months later) saying that they need some ID and that the postal order I sent them had to be made to Goldfish and not just left blank at the top. How the hell has this taken 2 months to tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surely the 40 day limit is to enable you to thrash these issues out within the time limit. I sorted the id situation out in one phonecall today and they told me that Goldfish now have a further 40 days. I THINK NOT!!!! What can I do now as I don't want to wait another 40 days. I am also seriously considring making a tonne of requests under the freedom of information act to bog them down (just for p*****g me off). Just things like how many SAR's they have dealt with in the last year and whatever else I can think of, THEY HAVE ANGERED THE WRONG MAN!!!!!!! Woodwa5:mad:
  9. secondly, i don't suppose you could send me the spreadsheet you've used for your schedule?
  10. Steven, let me know how this goes. I am at the early stages with goldfish but they have already sufficientlt p****d me off to motivate me into doing the same as you, Woodwa5;)
  11. Sorry I forgot to say that it is an RBS credit card. The spreadsheet that you sent me was fantastic but specifically says that it is not for credit cards. Do you have the link for a credit card spreadsheet that calculates the same, Kind Regards, Woodwa5:rolleyes:
  12. I received a letter from these muppets recently and it states the following, Thank you for your recent letter dated 31/1/08 I Would confirm and advise the following: 1. I acknowledge your request made under the consumer credit act for a copy of your agreement. 2. To comply with your request we require payment of the statutory fee, which remains at £1. All payments received at our office are logged with the post room and we have no record of a payment being received with your letter (complete crap because I sent a blank £1 postal order (don't have a chque book) with the letter. will check tomorrow to see if it's been cashed) 3. We have removed your contact telephone number from our records and will continue to pursue you through written communication only. 4. Please note that if you do not keep a regular dialogue with us our guidance from the information commissioner states that we are entitled to re-instate your contact telephone number to continue collection activity on the account when required, Yours Sincerely Director and data controller xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The letter was dated 11th Feb 2008 and I have heard nothing from them since. What should I do now? Should I send them another £1 postal order and this time have it made payable to hillesden securities? Woodwa5
  13. Hi, I am just starting a claim against RBS for £140 of charges on my credit card between 2003 and 2004. How do I calculate the contractual interest? Also if they send me the difference between £12 and the £20 they charged me (which i have a feeling they will do) do I send them the cheque back? Kind regards, Woodwa5:roll:

    ATM dispute

I have now e-mailed watchdog and the Abbey CEO
  15. It is indeed 6 years worth and it will cost £10. You are best off doing this by letter so there is an audit trail, Woodwa5

    ATM dispute

I tried that number and it just takes me through to telephone banking. I have completed the e-mail to watchdog and I am also going to contact the OFT and see if there is anything that they can do. People should be told about this because it is a risk to anyone taking out large amounts of cash from an ATM machine. I am almost angry enough to start a campain about this. I still have no money and potentially will have none for another week and a half, my dogs need food and so do my wife and I. I don't know what to do.....please help, Woodwa5:-?

    ATM dispute

oh and due to my crap credit rating they won't even give me an overdraft

    ATM dispute

I am having real trouble now. I am now overdrawn by £35 and have no money to my name and no way of borrowing it. The Abbey are still saying it could take up to 2 more weeks to investigate this. I really don't know what to do. I can't believe it can take this long when it is so simple. If I had have known that this was the case I would never have attempted to take a large sum of money out of a cash point and gone to the branch. I would urge everyone else to do the same. I am even thinking of going to the press because I can't even afford to buy food, Woodwa5:-?
  19. Hi, I am having some problems with DLC. They are claiming that they own a debt purchased from HFC a few months ago. They say the debt is for about 3.5k and I must contact them. I sent them a letter about a week ago requesting a copy of the agreement as proof and enclosed a postal order for £1. I also requested that any further correspondance be carried out by letter. They have phoned again today and they say they have not received the letter (my fault as i never sent it recorded) and whether that they will just take me to court and get HFC to send in the proof to the court at that stage. Is that lawful. How do I know they have purchased the debt and I am going to pay them and HFC will just say that I still owe them the money. Help, Woodwa5:confused:

    ATM dispute

i have contacted nationwide and they will not correspond with me at all. they insist on talking to the abbey It was outside a petrol station

    ATM dispute

I am really stuck on what I can do. On Sunday (3/02/08) I went to withdraw the last £300 I had out of the bank to cover me 'till pay day (because I don't trust the abbey). I did this at a Nationwide cashpoint which having made lots of noises switched itself off. I checked my balance over the phone and £300 had been withdrawn then put back then withdrawn in the same transaction thus showing me as having no money. I contacted Abbey on Monday who have given me a 2-3 week timeframe to investigate it. I don't think I will last 2-3 weeks and that is totally unacceptable! I am now at a loss. The Abbey will take a complaint but will take 8 weeks. The FOS and the FSA are not interested. What can I do? The Abbey say it may be quicker but I am on my last legs now and that kind of random time frame doesn't help, Woodwa5:mad:
