  1. Just a thought, wouldn`t the Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulate their selling at the time of the loan via the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000?
  2. Yeah, something to let the know they haven`t complied fully with your CCA request.
  3. Yeah, after they have given back every penny to everyone they have stolen from, of course
  4. I`m with you on that, SD. I also beleive the original MUST be shown in court. My simple logic behind that is this - You would probably have more than one account anyway with the bank, and they would have your signature on quite a number of documents I would think. So, they could quite easily copy your signature onto a document, photocopy it and call it a copy of the original. I would say, having a copy of the document also means the signaute is a copy, and a copy can be had from anywhere nowadays. And judge who falls for that trick should be labeled a clown, then shot in the head with a blunderpuss at close quarters for being so numb.
  5. One could draw the line where you mention it. A frail old man who basically stole a load of money, who never hurt or killed anyone, who is now just lying about ready to die. What point or purpose is there in leaving anyone like that in jail? It`s not like he stook around to steal again. A Nazi on the other hand, well, clearly they are dangerous as they killed thousands of people. Even in their old age could be considered a danger. One just never knows their true mental state. As for the legal system we have, well, it`s not very reliable is it really? They might as well let the public vote on sentences. Laws nowadays are changed to suit the goverment, and half of them are meant to be broken as they are so stupid. I`m no fan of crime, but I just can`t see any point in keeping an old man in jail until he dies, simply for stealing money 40+ years ago. Anyways, I`m saying nothing else on this matter. Ciao for now people
  6. Again, I`m not saying they are hero`s of any sort. I saying the magnitude of the crime at that time was `great`. To pull it off and hide away for 30+ years takes some intelligence. There have probably been, and will be bigger crimes since those days. I`m also saying that it`s a total waste of prison space, guards, tax payers money and whatever else to lock up a guy of this age for the rest of his life, simply because the powers that be are embarrassed about him evading capture for so long. He may have lived a life of luxury for 30+ years, but in a way has been a prisoner of his own, never able to return to see his family, until now. As to him being a dangerous criminal, well, lets not be silly here. Not all crooks pan your head in or kill you. My bank manager robs me from miles away, and I`ve never seen his face once.
  7. Of course, let`s not forget it`s every prisoners right to try and escape
  8. I`m suprised they haven`t locked up all CAG members who dispute their CCA`s yet, for attempted fraud, or some nonsense like that. You`d get 15 year`s, yet a baby killer would be out a week on Thursday, with good behaviour. Whatever people think of the likes of Biggs, people like Biggs have left their mark in History. It would be a truly boring world if everything was hunky dory. We need people like that from time to time, to cause a stink and a bit of inconvenience. That`s what I think anyway.
  9. Sounds like standard bowlarks to me SB. I`ve been there with these gimps, and I still am. It doesn`t matter what they say, they`ll still need it to hassle you much more. Do you have a CCA non-compliance letter or similar.
  10. And on top of that, to did it these days your going to need a damned fast horse
  11. I don`t have a problem with it myself. There are far worse people free in the world. than him. He may be a train robber, but at the time, it was the biggest (greatest) and he got away with it. Good on him, I say. At least, unlike nowadays he doesn`t hide in some office building, working for Lloyds TSB, taking hundreds of pounds off you each month. At least he showed his face while robbing the train, instead of hiding behind a telephone. I don`t beleive he ever hurt anyone, so I can`t see the point in locking him away until he dies. The goverment just want him, to say `we`ve finally got you`. If you could rob a bank and get away with it for 30+ years, wouldn`t you take your chances? I think I would. Pedo`s, rapists, murderers, granny beaters, smack heads, and everyone else get less time that they wanted him to serve.
  12. Hi sunshine, Not sure really. Although you could play dumb, simply based on the fact you have not received any documents therefore you are unable to inform them of what your defence would be, as you are waiting for them to send them. I wouldn`t give anything away, to be honest. Tell the Judge they won`t send you the required documents, therefore you would like this nonsense to be thrown out, as you are unable to build a defense. Someone may be along sometime soon. N.P
  13. Just a thought, does anyone know approximately how many people have been driven to suicide by these **** of the earth? I`m sure Mrs Widdecombe would be very interested in the TRUE affects that these so called companies have on people. I think thought, that if she did start a campaign against the companies that she probably wouldn`t get support from the Goverment. There is too much money involved in terrorising people.
  14. Perhaps someone could come up with an online petition we could add our names to and then email her the link to check out. Something in the region of the world does not need these parrassites, who harrass and terrorise people to the point of suicide. When they realise they are unable to get anything from us, they pass the account on to someone else, rendering them absolutely pointless in the first place. They are only around to make money out of people by bullying, lies and anything else you`d like to add. If creditors won`t deal with you themselves then tough! DCA`s should be bombed, along with whoever is stupid enough to be sitting at their desk at the time spinning bull**** to you.
  15. Wouldn`t it be funny if they Photoshop`d a CCA to have her signature on it?
  16. Howdy all, Just wondering if anyone else has read this in todays paper? Seems even MP`s are getting static from DCA`s. Daily Express | Columnists :: Debt Collecting agents who drive people mad N.P
  17. You did agree in the first place when you signed your agreement, which was regulated under the CCA 1974. If you expect any kind of protection from the CCA 1974, you, yourself must go by the word of the CCA 1974, including the £1 fee Section 77 & 78. Just pay it, you tight arse, and let`s move on in the world.
  18. Perhaps this guy is a sailor or works off shore?
  19. Unless your a temp then you can do whatever you want. The agencies do.
  20. I agree, this is nothing flash, to say the least. I haven`t heard of a company yet who pays their workforce for all breaks taken, including lunch break. Where I work you get 50 mins break in any 8 hours shift, made up of 10 mins in the morning, 30 mins for lunch and another 10 mins in the afternoon. Those working the 3 shift system also have the same 50 mins spread out over their 8 hours shift. The 30 min lunch break is unpaid, but the 10 min breaks are paid. We basically get a break every 2 hours. I certainly wouldn`t work for some tight arsed empty head who only gives 20 mins in any 9 hour shift. That to me is unfair. As flatulentboy states, a happy work is the best worker, any worker who is taken for granted and treated like doggy do do, doesn`t give a $&£!
  21. As in my previous post, they probably aren`t breaking any Laws at all, even though it sounds really bad. You can work a 12 hour shift, and still only get away with a 20 min break if you have your break half way through the shift. You would then only be working 5 hour 50 mins either side of your break. The none seating could be seen as unfair though, as their really isn`t a problem with sitting down on the job, as the job could be done either sitting OR standing. Also, they in fact would not be required to pay you for your break, as you are not actually working during that time. Similar as if you had a longer break and you were allowed to leave the premises, some companies require you to clock out and in again during that particular break. If you clock in late and wouldn`t be paid again for another 10 mins or so, although it is your responsibility to arrive at work on time, they can`t make you work unpaid. So, don`t start for another 10 mins, when you will be getting paid for it.
  22. Any personal callers risk being savaged by the dogs, then fed to the pigs. Pigs will leave no remains That`s if you get past the wife who likes to tie people to the bed and smash their ankles between a couple of wooden blocks. She`s very rough, you know
  23. Damn your good! I`ll have to add a new Favourites folder to save links to all these handy snippets. Nice one N.P
