I suppose it depends on how serious the employer viewed the abuse of trust etc? Trust is a big thing especially for a manager / supervisor. The standards expected are greater. It may be that if this happened lower down the employment chain then a sacking could be the outcome. management are expected to promote policy not break it (of course in the real world and as we are well aware on this site, employers / management are a law unto themselves.) You could appeal and hope that some mitigation is found and you keep your job.1 point
