  2. No problem jas 4. I know it can be very daunting on times but stick with it. As you can see many of us are now winning.
  3. Good Morning everyone! Here's the good news! Received a letter this morning from Mr KJ with my claim settled in full with no confidentiality clause (didn't agree to this when I wrote to them) All I have to do now is sign and return the letter and wait for the money to be credited to my account. Result!! Huge THANK YOU to everyone for their support! Keep going! You will win! twinkle
  4. Hi! Sorry I haven't been around. Been a bit busy so haven't caught up with everyone. I haven't heard a thing from Barclays since the phone call from Mr McDonald back on the 7th. Looking back over the thread I see that Tobes posted that he may of left? Is that true and is old KJ back yet (holiday or sick?). Bang goes my letter I was waiting for. This means I'll have to write again to them and give them a deadline to reply. They like to drag things out don't they? Anyway I'm not going anywhere (except away for a couple of days!). Hopefully a reply from the courts might spur them on. Apparently it can take 4 weeks to receive confirmation from them, then I have to wait for the date! Oh well 8) twinkle
  5. It is really frustrating seeing as my case is holding up alot of people at the moment. Fingers crossed it's resolved this week.
  6. It's all gone quiet at the moment. Received a phone call from Mr McDonald on Friday at 16.30 wanting to go over my letter that landed on his doorstep that morning. I stated that I was not willing to discuss anything over the phone and that he had all the details in my letter ( they obviously can't read!). Now all I have to do is wait as the ball is in their court, literally . Thought I might have heard something by today. Never mind.
  7. Try not to worry (easier said than done somtimes), as said so many times before they do not want to go to court. Bit of advice, try not to phone. You may end up slipping up or agreeing to something you didn't intend to. They record their phone conversations. Just tell them to put it in writing. I found when I didn't return their call a letter arrived the next day with an offer. (Although my story is not yet concluded)
  8. They've got battle on their hands alright! Bet they don't know which way to turn! With you all the way:D
  9. Hi to all! Awaiting a reply from Barclays to my letter stating I want ALL my costs and interest paid otherwise I shall see them in court. I also added to the letter that I wouldn't accept any of their conditions. Here we go again!
  10. Sorry I've just picked up this thread. Just to let you know that the case was sent to the Disrict Judge from my local court. The amount being claimed is under £1000. As you can imagine I was more than slightly nervous to hear that the case had gone to multi track but after advice from BankFodder and ALOT of thinking I decided to go ahead. I have now received a letter from Barclays this morning stating that they want to settle. Unfortunately the amount offered does not include the AQ court fee I paid. So I shall be requesting that this be added to my claim and if not I will see them in court.
  11. Morning everyone! Just to say that I received a letter from Barclays this morning, settling my claim but this does not include my AQ court fee or interest up to the point of settlement. So I will be sending them a letter stating that they pay the additional costs or to court we go. It's not over yet!
  12. Just a quick thanks for everyones comments. Did receive a message on my phone yesterday from Mr Mcdonald (Barclays), obviously on behalf of KJ, as he's on holiday, wondering whether I could speak with him regarding my letter. Unfortunately I missed his call. If he wants to talk he can either ring back or send me a letter. 4 o'clock is looming! ;-)
  13. Just an update for you all. After some good advice and serious thinking I have decided to carry on with my claim, and as of yesterday, Barclays and the courts received my proposed directions through to trial. As some of you know my case was put onto Multi Track by the judge. Barclays have until Friday 4pm to do the same, so here I wait
  14. Thanks squishy and caro! It's good to know you're out there. Anyway, I have received excellent advice from BankFodder. I have some things to think about and will keep everyone posted as it happens!
  15. Thanks to everyone who replied to my plea! alanfromderby - thanks. I'll let someone know if I get stuck. Tobes - going to get in touch with the court re multi-track. They apparently have an information sheet on this (but didn't send it!) barracad - no, my case number is 6QZ30852. Will keep you all posted
  16. It's been a while since I last posted but here's another update. Since returning my AQ I heard nothing for weeks then received a letter on the 7th August saying that my case, as a result of an order was being transferred to Cardiff County Court ( from my local court). Have now received a letter yesterday, stating BEFORE HIS HONOUR JUDGE G HINKINBOTTOM Upon reading the Allocation Questionaires and file IT IS ORDERED THAT 1. This claimgiving rise to important legal issues of general importance, it is allocated to the Multi-Track and transferred to Cardiff County Court for case management. 2. By 4pm on 1 September 2006, each party shall serve and file propsed directions through to trial. Unless either party requests a hearing, the court will then give directions through to trial without a hearing. 3. All matters relating to this case shall be reserved to the Designated Circuit Judge, unless expressly released by him. 4. Any party may apply tp set aside vary or stay this order pursuant to CPR Rule 3.3 (5) & (6). Has anyone else had a letter like this? Could really do with some advice and help on what I am to supply the judge at this point. Getting a bit worried now! Thank you in advance.
  17. It's good to see someone at the same stage as me. Will have to compare notes as we go along! I don't want to think of the money yet. Not until I have it in my hands!
  18. Just another quick update. I returned my AQ on Friday with my fee. Now time to wait again. I'm hoping to get some reply from Barclays once they see I serious. Fingers crossed! Just in case what should I be thinking about doing in the mean time? Any advice?
  19. Just thought I would keep you updated. Received a letter stating that my claim has been moved to my local court and enclosed a allocation questionaire form to be returned by the 2nd July with a court fee. Their defence seems to be the same as some previous posts and does go on a bit! There are a few questions if someone could help me with; do I add the further court fee to my overall claim? Is it worth waiting until nearer the date to send the form in, as I may get a call (I hope!) with the full amount or do I try and contact Mr Jeremiah himself and see what he has to offer as some people seemed to benefited from this action? All help gratefully received. Thank you in advance!
  20. Received a letter from Barclays stating that they are going to defend (now there's a surprise!) Has anyone won against them yet, I can't seem to find anything? Or are they just taking the long way out?
  21. And me, except I get Nicholas Hartigan defending!
  22. Just a quick note to say that I filed a claim via moneyclaim on 5th May. I shall keep you posted with events
