Well just had a phone call from the wife and LloydsTSB have offered a full and final settlement of £750!! I was only claiming £840 so I'm looking at this as a victory (as I didn't even get to the court stage) and taking the money and running!!! It just shows that once more it certainly pays to take them on.

Just got back from holiday...still no reply from Lloydstsb....What next?

Ok here goes.. Had to curtail my holiday early and come home from Switzerland due to the fact the engine blew up in our van! Tried to cancel and get a refund on my ferry crossing from Bilbao to Portsmouth but told by P&O that because its less than 15 days til sailing I'm entitled to NO refund!! £612-00!!:o Phoned travel insurance company and asked about a claim and was told that because I never phoned them to tell them I had broken down (phoned breakdown insurance company instead!), I was not covered and therefore not liable for compensation... The Travel insurance company is Direct Travel underwritten by AXA assistance, strangely enough the same people who underwrite my breakdown cover! Can I do anything about this? The return sailing is due on 15th June (this Friday)

Ok, statements arrived today..in 40 different envelopes! Postman had a bit of a laugh! Curiously I received a letter on Saturday telling me that my statements were on the way to enable me to reconcile my bank charges..blah..blah..You may now wish to proceed with your claim for reimbursment of charges and if you require further statements do not hesitate to contact us.... Is this a bit of a turnaround for LloydsTSB?

Nothing back yet..going away for half term so hopefully should be there when I get back...

Ok, just moved starter thread...Initial letter requesting bank account data sent yesterday.........Bit nervous now but happy in the knowledge that I am amongst others doing the same thing..and it's very encouraging to see the successes!! I just hope I'm doing the right thing..I started this process about 6 months ago and chickened out at the 'take us to court then! and by the way find someone else to bank with!' stage. So here we go again! Lee

Hi y'all, I've just spent two hours reading loads of postings on your site and hats off to you! Mick and Joe have inspired me to continue where I left off a few months ago. I got to the Letter of Intent for Court Action and LTSB replied saying go ahead.:o At that point I got scared and dropped it without further communication. My question to you all is can I now continue the process or do I need to start again.? I really don't want to see this bank get away with this and at some point, and it will come, they will just cave in and just pay everybody off! :) Chin up Mick and Joe..I'm watching avidly!! Lee
