  1. Kensington have done a similar thing to us. My husband lost his business earlier this yr & we had to sell our home, the mortgage having been with Kensington. Just before completion I received the following statement Starting balance £273913.38 Arrears Charges £250.00 Solicitors Costs £500.00 Redemption Fee £145.00 Sundry debits £298.75 EARLY REDEMPTION CHARGES £16771.98 INTEREST £14702.73 Kensington took over £31,000 in charges. Right now i can't even think straight to know what to do. We were supposed to use the funds to pay off debts which now continue to mount. Could someone please give me the wisdom of their advice.
  2. Nottinh Hill Housing (NHH)have given me a Notice of Intended legal action, telling me that i must carpet my flat because I am allegedly disturbing the people beneath. But the flat has been empty for some 2-3 months + in the summer, NHH told me that i had to lay carpet because they were doing an audit not that i was causing a disturbance Can I challenge NHH?
  3. I want to try & claim back some of the £17,000 in Early Repayment fees + £15,000 interest, that Kensington Mortgage Company took, when I recently completed on the sale of my home. I took the mortgage out about 2yrs ago & the penalty period would have ended next October 2007. Could someone please give me some guidance regarding how i can go about trying to reclaim some of the money & what chance i have of any success. I only found out the figure a day before completion. I sent a fax to KMC on the day before completion, demanding for a reduction in the fees but they must have just laughed all the way to the bank with my money, as i have of course, not received a reply. Right now i am so angry & frustrated, I can't think straight.
