  3. Hi Gents & Ladies! this is my first post to the community! so hope its as good for you as it is for me! just recieved my full & final settlement offer from Barclays iro Woolwich to the tune of £1,437.00 in respect of my claim for £2,007.00. I must admit after reading some of the other offers you guys have recieved its not bad? im considering writing again to decline but really dont wont to goto court as i have many other debts which im fighting off. do you think it might go that far if i pursue it? havent done very well with Lloyds, got the statements and thats about it!! p.s. i was reading another thread about a gent who was in financial trouble and a reply directed him to DCA? I Searched in the Toolbar but to no avail can anyone tell me want this stands for & where i can find it? Regards
  4. Hi again! unfortunatly she may have a problem. as she lives with somebody else (Male or Female) she will be interviewed at home or in the Jobcentre to establish if they are LIVING as a couple (not if they are a couple!) if they find they are? they will not pay the benefit but your Sis has the right of appeal. ho hum! However, if they find they are not then she will obviously recieve the benefit and also half of the rent on the accommodation and half the council tax. so its worth the try. ( and tell her (as long as she has nothing to declare lol) they the interview is standard & harmless! p.s: if she is not interested in claiming the benefit itself, she can walk into any jobcentre and view the job points which will show her every job available across the EEC! YIPPEE?
  5. Thought ide let you know Guys! At least 100,000 ID's where stolen over three years ago. These ID's were used to claim Child Tax Credit via their on line application form (Which has now ceased due to this farce) the applicants made in the order of three million yes really!!! and people who dont have children or have a high income wouldnt claim CTC and as such wouldnt claim & wouldnt know!!! if your address or anything else has changed checked with the Working / Child Tax Credit and ask if you have a live claim or have claimed in the past! if you they have a record that you have (and you havent!) report it to the Police! ive been there and still am. apparently i live in north hampton (which i dont) and my 6yr old daughter lives here alone!!! awww?
  6. Hi there, she can claim JSA (INCOME BASED) that is if she has no other income including from a partner with whom she lives with as its all taken into account and deducted from the JSA rate of £59.15 per week! If she had worked for the past two years she could have got JSA (CONTRIBUTION) but this is only paid for for 6 months and you have to apply for the Income based anyway! good old Uk?
