  1. Thanks for that. I assume that means going back letter 1? Or is there another letter I can use?
  2. Please check this quote from Lloyds Bank: Is this a final offer?
  3. My bank (Lloyds) has paid me £750 which is the amount I have claimed for. But in the meantime they have charged me again over £500 on fees and overdraft charges. What do I have to do? Do I start again? Also they paid the money into the account and never offered me a cheque. Any advice would be great. Thanks
  4. It was more than the full amount and in there letter they also waive another fee of £30 which would have been charged to my account. My claim was over £676.96 incl. interest. I have signed up for the court case online but haven't paid yet. So no costs there. The strange thing about it all is: 1. it is more than I asked for 2. I have since received another letter telling me about further £30 overdraft charges. I am seriously confused about what to do next. Any ideas?
  5. Same happened to me. I received the money and on the same day they send me a letter with another charge of £30. Should I start again?
  6. Loans are usually handled seperatly from accounts and you can have a loan with LloydsTSB without having an account. But remember if you are behind you will need to contact the loan department and arrange a new repayment plan, otherwise your credit rating will go bad. Not paying is certainly a reason to call the loan in. So act now! Otherwise go ahead claiming back the bank charges you have paid in the past and good luck.
  7. I have send all my letters to the Branch my account is registered with (Sort Code). It all worked fine and I just received my money back. More than happy. They haven't closed my account and my overdraft facility in still in place. So don't worry to much about this, but make sure you have another account to switch to just in case. Good luck.
  8. Hi, Yes definitely. They have to provide you with exact details of all payment up to today. Do everything in writing, sending it to the branch your account is registered with. Stick with the instruction you find on these pages. Just a few days ago I received my money incl. interest back from Lloyds. Don't let them push you, stick with the plan. It works!!!!:)
  9. After more than 2 month Lloyds has offered me compensation and told me they will pay £750 into my Account. They won't admit for having done anything wrong, but will pay me the money because it would cost them more to go to court. What a cheak!!! The next letter I received from tem was a charge for overdraft of £30. I can't believe it. Well I think I will first ask them to give me the money as a check. Then I will start again and send the first letter asking for all costs from the 1st of December to now. Lets see what happens. Anyway I have won the first part WON WON WON
  10. Reading trough the threads I feel better and better. I found a lot of people are scared fighting these "o' so strong establishments". What help me was finding out what is the worst that can happen. Once I knew I worked myself up to the point where I am now and it all looks quite good, no reason to worry. This site is one of the best things I have ever came across and when I receive my money I will certainly donate some of it, well done guys and keep going!!!
  11. What happens if the bank cancels your overdraft and start charging you high interest for being overdrawn? Lets say you have £2000 overdraft aranged and used it all, then you send your first letter regarding bank charges and (what would you expect), they cancel your overdraft. Now you are £2000 overdrawn and you pay huge interest fees. What is the legal situation in that case? Any idea?
  12. I have been reading a few of the other threads and I must say, i am getting a bit worried! At this moment I have an overdraft facility of £3000 with them and an agreed deduction of £100 per month, meaning next month I will have 2900 overdraft and so on. I am a bit worried that they will cut my overdraft completely and charge me over the top interest which won't make my situation easier. They have given me such a bad credit rating that I cannot even get another current account with another bank (I do have another basic account with Nationwide) What I read, they tend to do this. Even if I get my money back and they won't do it straight away, they might do it after the claim has settled, which would leave me in a bad situation. Any ideas?
  13. Thank you very much. 3 days after I have send the letter, they have charged me for further 4 not paid direct debits and canceled 2 standing orders without warning, which will cost me another £70. I cannot believe that. I have opened another account with another bank to get my direct debits sorted, because companies like AA do only use direct debits and do not allow transfers. They want to charge me too £25 for unpaid direct debits. This is like a cirle. I will keep you up-to-date
  14. I always buy my handsets all over the place in Europe for usually 30% of the price here in the UK and because they are free mobiles all cards works (all legal) What I didn't know is that you can have a contract without a phone and timely ties, or did I get that wrong?
