  1. Thanks for the help, it was a rental pc with an option to buy at the end of the 48 months. But to be honest I could buy a PC for the amount I would be spending on the remainder of the contract.
  2. When self employed, I foolishly took out a rental agreement with the above for a PC, the business failed (sole trader). I am about 5 months in arrears £39.00 pm, & they have now cancelled the agreement. They are demanding the PC back & giving me a bill for the arrears & the remainder of the contract (about 12 months). What should I do ? I dont want the PC any longer & will be delivering it back very soon. Please help.
  3. Received a standard letter asking for 4 weeks to look into the complaint Sent off my second letter giving them a further 14 to settle. Heres to the middle of April.
  4. Funkstar - had exactly the same letter. But have done the same, sent my second letter giving them 14 days before I start my court papers. Good luck.
  5. Same here, claiming £2,8k. Fingers crossed but i'm up for it.
  6. Good luck funkstar delux, I sent off my letter of refund just a few days back.
  7. Well done leech for bringing the information through.
  8. Many thanks Michael, yup looks like im right at the start of things, will give them till 27th then send the letter above.
  9. cumuru101 - I would visit the branch & ask there advice, if not mention to them about freedom of information & the banking code & complaints side of things. If they have closed your account, was it because of you requesting the information ? surely not a legal thing to do (dont quote me cause i'm not sure). Get down there & give them some grief & good luck!
  10. its a bit fiddly, however with patience it will get you there & save you a tenner.
  11. Fishy - I'm still quite new to this myself, but I think there is a max amount of 5k for the MCOL if your going down this route. I'm not sure but if you ask the question on here I'm sure you will get a good answer. Good luck with it all, I'm thinking of doing the same with my old sole tradere account £1,500, but I still have two business loans to consider, both for about £3.5k each, I dont want to put myself in a difficult situ with these.
  12. Hmm, not really sure on your case then. I am sure someone will be able to assist you here soon. I'm presuming as they credited your cheque then there is the evidence that they received your letter, do you have an online account where you could save the £10 & download the information ?
  13. Fantastic, well done. I'm looking forward to my £2,800 (personal) & £1,500 (business) that they have been looking after for me. I hope I get the same good decision you did.
  14. Well done Abby - not being nosey, but was it a good amount ? Have a good time with the money.
  15. Sorry Michael. I downloaded my statements from online banking, converted them to a spreadsheet & sent this along with a letter to the branch requesting the money back. (I think this is step 2). I am waiting for 14 days for them to reply.
  16. well done lozcs - good luck with everything.
  17. tamim - did they process your £10 cheque ?
  18. Many thanks Michael - they have until 27/3 before I file my moneyclaim
  19. oneofakind - give them your worst. I dont think that 60 quid for 2 pounds is anyway to operate. Good luck
  20. I think I might have fallen at the first hurdle I sent my initial letter to my branch rather than the head office. Do I need to send it out again ?? or should I give them a little more time to make sure it gets to the right department.
  21. Many thanks Davethorp, will keep my progress updated on here.
  22. Many thanks, I will sit it out I think. Will keep this thread updated on my situ. Fingers crossed. Looking at your signature, today (16th) should be the serving day.
  23. Hi Curlychick. Yes sent the spreadsheet with the summary, but no did'nt send recorded.
  24. Hi there, quite new to the CAG site, but have been with MSE for a while now. Downloaded my charges from the online banking in order to save some time. Q1. if it gets to the court stage, will downloaded information i.e. figures on a spreadsheet suffice ? Q2. I sent my 1st letter on the 12th Mar, they have not wrote back as yet, but as I did'nt formally request the information how can I confirm that they are looking at my 1st letter ?
  25. Many thanks Buzby, i'll give it a go.
