Hello all, I'm claiming the mere £260.00 back from Alliance and Leicester. I've sent the letter before action and they've refused to pay up. I'm prepared to go to Money Claim online but was wondering if they're being this petty with everyone. It seems that £260.00 is only a small amount and it will cost them much more to defend in court. RBS Paid up after just 2 letters. Currently waiting for HSBC to submit defense but I am claiming £2000 for my husband! Your help would be appreciated. Thanks! Lucy

well done Bex! There's hope for me too then. I'm waiting for them to enter defense and getting worried. My claim is for less than yours so hopefully they'll pay up after defense stage too?! Well done!

no! I'm very scared about it all though! there's been too many success stories though surely for it to go wrong for us???? Fingers crossed!

Thanks for your input. I'm not giving in but I am blooming scared that it'll all go wrong and I'll have lost the £120.00 plus £100.00 AQ money. God forbid though as I really don't need that.

Hiya, I spoke to Deborah yesterday and she was a bit grumpy with me..! She is just a partner and her names goes on all the forms! So I expect she's getting lots of calls. She said she'd pass on my details and someone did call me back that afternoon. I'm not at AQ stage, just waiting for their defense to come in so was checking they had got my breakdown of charges. I also wonder why some lucky people get paid up so quickly yet others like us who are claiming less have to go through this whole process. Not fair eh!... I really think they are trying to scare people and put them off. Good luck with your claims.

Hi there, have you heard anything further yet? Sorry I'm just interested as I'll be at your stage very soon. Just waiting for their defense to come in. Thanks!

Has anyone else any opinions on this? Or does anyone actually know why some people get offers early for larger amounts and others with small amounts have to go the whole way. Is it anything to do with whether HSBC think they'll win, could it be to do with how the account was operated? Thanks for your support

Thanks Meff, hopefully we'll get through this unscathed! Good luck!

Hello all, Thank you to all who post great advice on here. Perhaps you can help. I'm claiming £1804 from HSBC and have claimed via MCOL. I'm 6 days past the service date. HSBC/DG have said they'll defend the whole claim. I've faxed a copy of my schedule to DG. I am getting so worried about having to go to an actual court to fight this. Please can you tell me how likely this is? Also I've noticed from reading this and other websites that some people claiming more than me are getting offers after the LBA stage yet me and others claiming much less than me are having to file claims that are then going to be defended. Is it pot luck do you think? Your advice would be really appreciated. I don't want to back down (apart from don't want to lose £120) but I'm getting so scared. Thank you everyone. Lu
