  1. Congrats twoofus, I too have recieved a full repayment offer & have accepted today. I also agree that for the smaller to medium claims FD are acting quickly and fairly. I've still to recieve Visa statements. bushboy
  2. Update time: Still waiting for visa statements. As for my current account. It has all happened so quick my head is still spinning. Monday 6th sent of LBA rejecting initial sum. Thursday 9th recieved offer of full refund minus interest (about £80) but plus another £80 they are going to take on Friday. So I've said thanks very much hand it over. It was too easy. Thanks to this site, its creators and its users and once my account has its refund I'll spin some your way. Bushboy
  3. G'day, Have sent of my first demand and today recieved a settlement figure osme £400 under my request. It also included £185 still to be taken from me. Which is funny as I was only aware of £130. The letter said the usual stuff about the bank has to consider if to pay a DD etc if it will take us oner our limit & thias SERVICE costs!! So I'll be sending them a thanks but I want the rest as well and while Im at it I'll up my original claim by the extra £55 you will be taking from me. Still waiting for Gold Visa statements, for which they returned our £10 cheques (may be that would have taken us over our O/D limit again:lol:  ) I'll keep you posted Bushboy
  4. Congrats twoofus. I have just recieved today a letter from FD for £1100 against a claim of £1300. THey also state that it includes £185 yet to be taken from my account for recent overdraft violations, which is surprising as I only claimed £130 that is yet to be taken. Bastards are still hitting me. So tonight I will send them an I'll accept as partial payment & increase my original figure by the extra £55 you are going to take that you advised in your letter. Bushboy PS. FD have also returned mine & my wife's £10 cheque for our now closed Visa Data. Kind people
  5. G'day all, Because I spend more than I earn I keep finding myself lumbered with bank charges, these just lead to more bank charges on top of the bank charges and so the visious cycle spirals out of control. How glad I was to stumble upon this wedsite & forum I have now sent my first request for data, using one of the template letters, to Virgin one. I no longer bank with them so I'm using this as my test case. Once I've experienced this I'll go after the other money grabbing so & so's. Trouble is I'll end up getting black listed & wont be able to hold a bank account anywhere I'll keep you posted as best I can bushboy
