Thread moved to Lloyds.

You still claim them back from Halifax. Have they sold on the debt or is it an inhouse DCA? ..... is the amount they are asking for made up of bank charges alone?
The shouldnt have passed you onto a dca in the first place, your account was in dispute.
If you can clear those points up for me, I will check back tonight.

In responce to your question, Halifax are pretty good at paying up more or less at the stage you are at, however that could all change, they may decide to engage new tactics and file a defence and drag it out a bit longer, I would prefer not to give you a timescale as you may be disappointed at the end of it and still be waiting.
Sorry!

Please can you stick to one thread per claim., I just came across your new thread and it is very difficult to advise when I cannot see what you have done previously.
-
I can only second what the above poster has said.

Moved to Barclays.

Yes you can claim the £10.00 sar fee and also 8% interest but only when you issue a small claim in court.
How far has your claim got? What have you done so far? Please can you pop over the the lloyds forum and start a thread there about this? We will then go from there.

Well, they have paid up as promised, didn't arrive until Friday, the cheque was also £3.76 short, when i queried this I was asked "You are going to complain about a couple of pence???" The lady on the other end of the telephone couldn't seem to understand they fact that this is my money, I did ask her how I wondered if I rang them last feb and explained my car payment was short by £3.00 this month would it be ok as it was only a couple of pence...she didn't reply! I guess that was my answer!
So, yup, I have won, fab, I am half debating for a bit of fun, pursuing them for the other £3 odd, the fact she made a remark like she did on the phone makes me want to.
Happy days.

I really enjoyed it, I thought it was really informative, very well put together, I actually thought there was a good balance between music and voice, well done Adam.

Ok you add the 8% interest at court stage, not before.
Don't feel nervous about the next step, read plenty before starting it and you cannot make any mistakes if you know the process backwards in your head, if you are asking this question at this stage I would recommend you read up alot more before going any further.
All the help you need is in the library section and in the faq's
Hope this helps

Update, I rang Online finance this afternoon to ask them whether they would like me to save possible embarassment of baliffs, me and a camera crew coming to see them if I issued a warrant of execution to get my money back..I told them that perhaps it was better all round if they just paid up what they have been ordered to without further delay.
I was on hold for 5 mins and then was informed that a cheque will be raised this afternoon and signed by the manager, I should have it Wednesday at the latest, we shall see, hopefully though they will follow through with their promise and I haven't got to mess around with County Court Baliffs.
Happy days.

Defence received, nothing strange, although they are disputing some charges that predate the 6 yr limitation rule, there are only a couple beyond it by a couple of months.

Its a fob off, keep to your timetables, continue to the next stage of the procedure when the time you have given them to respond it up.
