  1. Hi I had a Personal Loan with Barclays, a VISA from Barclaycard and a personal bank account which I stopped using in March 2000 after I split with an ex-partner who caused me no end of grief with finances In addition, I probably was charged loads of charges etc on all 3 accounts with Barclays. Whats my first step to try and recover the charges. I had an IVA which ended in January 2004 with a settlement, from reading posts in the forum, I believe this does not matter now. Thanks Craig
  2. Hi There My wife has been with A&L since September 05 Until May, here account ran smoothly, until a CHQ was returned unpaid and was represented. This happened again with another cheq and in addition to the unauthorised overdraft fees, the account is now £238.xx overdrawn. We have written our LBA letter to A&L to ask them to refund the fees which will return the balance to £0.00 and then we will close the account. We already have another account with Natwest now. Regards Craig
  3. Hi Everyone Need some advice In 2001, I entered into an IVA after spliting with an ex-partner which caused me problems. A big chunk of the problem was caused by charges etc and I ended my IVA in January 2004 after selling my house and moving. Can I now claim all charges etc back, I dont have the statements etc, so would I need to get them first or could I write a speculative letter requesting refund of charges and see what happens? Thanks Craig
  4. My IVA ended in January 2004. Can I still claim? Thanks
  5. Hi There I started an IVA in 2001, which subsequently finished in 2004, due to selling a house and moving. Can I now go back to all my creditors and claim the charges back? Thanks
  6. Hi I am new to this forum and felt the need to respond to your post. I obtained a new mortgage which completed two weeks ago and I too was charged an amount of around £2,900 as a redemption penatly. I only had 6 months left on the tie in period, but needed to move due to there unhelpfulness in my circumstances. I also had numerous charges for arrears and late payments, which I feel I need to try and reclaim after reading articles on this forum. I certainly will try and reclaim the £2,900 redemption fee. Ta Craig
