  1. Thanks. I've started my own thread, rather than tack on to the end of somebody else's, but I don't have enough posts to put a link to it here.
  2. Hi, I recently received a letter from CWD, essentially the same as those mentioned in many other threads in these forums. It claims to have been instructed by a UAE bank to make arrangements for the repayment of overdraft liability debt. It is giving me 21 days to contact them with proposals to repay the debt. I've searched through the forums on this and other sites, but there is much conflicting opinion on how to deal with this. From what I understand, simply ignoring the letter and hoping it goes away is not an option. What should my first step be? I am not in a position to repay the amount it claims I owe. I'm thinking my initial response would be to reply, making it clear that I do not acknowledge the debt, and request copies of the original agreement, statements and so on. Is there a template letter that is suitable for this? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  3. Any follow up to this? Looking for advice on how to tackle CWD myself. Thanks
