  1. ok, that's kind of what I thought when I googled ZZPS, just the letter is quite convincing to a novice! Thank you very much for the advice and re-assurance!
  2. ah sorry, thought I had deleted all relevant pieces of personal ID. Have removed them now. Not sure how they got my details, I presume applied to DVLA to find the registered keeper. Parking charge.pdf
  3. Hello there, Some assistance would be appreciated, I had some helpful advice here previously. I received a PCN for parking in a car park when walking my dogs one evening. I had no idea the car park was charged in the evening and as it was dark did not see signs. I just assumed it would be free at that time of night. after receiving the PCN and subsequent letters I ignored them in the hope that they would give up (this worked last time I received a ticket) however yesterday I received a letter informing the intention to issue County Court proceedings if I do not respond within 14 days. This is obviously a little concerning and I have attached the letter for information. Interestingly they state the issue date was 02/10/2015 and the time was 14:23. Now I'm not sure on the date off the top of my head, will have to look but it definitely wasn't in the afternoon - it was about 9/10pm. Thanks in advance for your help. Jon Parking charge.pdf
  4. Apologies for calling it a fine! As a naive member of public I do not know any better, well I didn't until researching it further and asking for advice here. 'fine' does roll off the tongue better than 'speculative invoice' though....... Thanks for the advice however, it has been real helpful
  5. Thanks for the helpful responses - I was erring on the side of paying the fine! I guess I will ignore this too and see if anything else happens. And yes the signature has some real skills to it!
  6. Updated the PCN, I received first charge notice 29 days after the ticket was put on my car. LBC attached.
  7. Hello, I wondered if someone might be able to assist. Back in March I parked in a disabled space at my local college where I play basketball in the evening. The car park is small and always full apart from the large number of disabled spaces. I know I shouldn't have parked there but I did, and as a result I got a ticket. A friend of mine received a ticket the same evening for parking in a loading bay. Anyway, I ignored the ticket and subsequent charge notice letters until I received the letter before claim from TPS' solicitors. I now need to pay them before 1st September otherwise court action will be initiated. Is there any way of avoiding this fine? I had heard they had to prove who was driving the car as opposed to owned the car. I've attached the original PCN but can also attach letters if required. Cheers Jon
