  1. Re Sunmaster. Sunmaster /Global Travel will defend any action right up to the last minute. I took them to small claims court and won my case. Sunmaster will always argue thet they act as agent and the tour operator is Global Travel but when you present all the documentation in court the Judge will conclude that they, Sunmaster are in fact the Holiday Company. You booked with them, you paid them and the only mention of Global Travel is when they say they are there agent. One thing to present to the Court is that no one can book a holiday through Global Travel Group. Google Globel Travel Group and you will see that they are infact a Franchise operator. Take them the whole way if you have a genuine complaint it only costs a few quid and the results are well worth the effort.
  2. Hi Adam. Sorry to hear about your problems with Sunmaster. Time is of the esscence and my advice based on the information given it is obvious that the alternative offered is not comparable my advice would be to immediatly contact your Trading Standards Office and ask for their assistance. I am in the process of taking Sunmaster / Global Travel to the small claims court and prior to taking this action I found Trading Standards to be very helpfull and effective. Hope this helps Cheers and good luck John
  3. Hi. Just read your thread. Two questions you have posted need answering. 1. The maximum you can claim in a small claims court is £3000. 2. Sunmaster will claim they are only an agent therefore as I am doing at present I had to take out a joint court action against both Sunmaster and The Global Travel Group who are now Sunmaster Holidays parent company. When I first arrived at court Sunmaster claimed I was suing the wrong company fortunately the court allowed me to add their parent company to the court action. That parent company is The Global Travel Group. Like any court action do not threaten if you are not prepared to follow through and make sure you have as much information as possible because The Global Travel Group will defend your action but if you are sure you have a case proceed to court. Do not be put off by threats of countersuit. If you require any further info on how to proceed please feel free to contact me. Hope this info helps, Cheers and good luck John
