    Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I have rang the tax office this morning and they said that if it is my only income then it doesn't need to be declared. Just thought I would post that incase anyone else looks for the answer.

    Sorry to jump on your thread but my query is similar to yours. If you are receiving carers allowance but not working do you have to inform the tax office (with it being a taxable income)? Confused!
