Have a look at the "new charge" thread in the Halifax forum, this person has had more charges since they filed and they have taken advise from the small claims court. -
He did get paid!

I'm sure if the boot was on the other foot they wouldn't stop the bailiffs going to your house because you "said" you had offered to pay.......

I love it!! :D

Fantastic! Good for you Might be worth trying to get some media interest, they seem to like stories like that!

I wouldn't worry too much about that, you can show you have asked for the information and you were refused, should it get to court (which is doubtful!) -

I would DEMAND they give you new account numbers, that account has obviously been compromised. -

TBH I would just let it run its course and then file with Money Claim if you don't hear anything. I wouldn't get into any conversations with them. -

Has money been stolen from her account? If yes, I would report it to the police, Halifax would probably take it more seriously then. -
Natwest told me they only say no if you are bankrupt, if they can open one for me they can open one for anyone!!
-
Go ahead and do it anyway, the money you get back could pay your overdraft back without you borrowing!
-
I've just opened another account with the Natwest (I have a terrible credit score), it may be better to open another account with a bank your not claiming from (yet)! It does get you out of that never ending loop of charges.
